While this really isn't wide enough for a full skateboard, a couple strips of the 4" will do. And leave plenty of left overs. You could easily do several sets of stairs with one kit. grit is well-adhered and doesn't come off or make a mess. It's easy to cut and plenty sticky to not give me any worries about it coming off.

Good adhesion and adds a good amount of grit to reduce slipperiness. The two different widths come in handy for different items. I prepped the area I was sticking it to with rubbing alcohol.

The principal issue with any non-slip tape is how well it will stick to the surface where the non-slip is needed while a secondary issue is the non-slip surface of the tape. I have used other non-slip tape in the past which failed to adhere to the surface as expected and as I had a sample of this older tape, I compared the two tapes (one being reviewed and the older tape) for bottom “stickiness” to surfaces. The tape being reviewed stuck well to a varnished surface and when pulled up, displayed an aggressive bond, while the older tape on the same surface had a smooth, less aggressive bond, leading me to believe that the tape being reviewed would stick better on uneven, less perfect surfaces. In addition, the reviewed tape non-slip top surface was much more uniform at 80 grit than the older tape, implying that a user would get better traction from that uniform surface. My recommendation is to buy this tape for non-slip applications on less than smooth surfaces…it looks pretty good.

For the two days these stayed on our porch they were nice but they did not stick past a single storm. This is probably due to the cold when we went to attach it. We still have a good bit left and will be trying it again next year, if it sticks better I'll update this review.

I was unsure how well this was going to work on our front porch as the tile is not smooth and water pools a little when it rains. So I put a two inch test strip on for two months. It survived the endless traffic and getting soaked and submerged in rain. The adhesive sticks well and the top surface is very tacky - kind of like 80 grit sandpaper. Since it passed my test, I applied the both the 2" and 4" tape to provide better coverage. The backing tape can be difficult to peel off so I suggest using a tweezer at a corner. I also used some blue tape to help line up the strips and the 2" blue tape roll as an installation roller to ensure good contact with the adhesive to the tile. I recommend this product and would order it again
