Instructions were very easy to understand. The lock seems to be of excellent quality. I think it was a great price! I think it will work great for our trip to Belize. It will hold all our cash, passports, both our cellphones and much more. It seems to be pretty thick. Our valuables will be safe!

This is the second beach vault we've bought. We needed a bit more secure space, really only meant for individuals so this gives us his and hers lock boxes. It's solid and has a key to backup the combo lock, essential because if you set the code wrong you won't know until you try to open it again. Then you'd need to find a way to destroy the box to get your stuff out (esp car keys). With a key backup you could still use the box until you replaced it. There are others that have more interior space but made of flimsy plastic and no key. This one is a nice alternative to hiding your car or room keys under your towel on the beach. This was purchased to use at a nearby water park. I wasn't expecting anything as secure as an actual safe, I just wanted something that would deter theft and I think this thing fits the bill. It's larger than I was expecting (in a good way). I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and there is room enough for the phone (probably 2 phones), a wallet and more. The plastic that it's made out of is fairly hard and doesn't have much of flexibility (meaning it's not real easy to bend it to force the lid open). I was able to easily set the combination to what I wanted and I also liked that one of those twirly wrist band things was included for the key. The cable that you can use to attach it to a stationary object (and keep the lid closed) feels similar to a bike lock cable and I like that when not needed, it can be pushed down inside the safe. Now, like I said, I don't expect this thing to provided total security. I'm sure a swift whack with a hammer would crack it open pretty easy and a pair of bolt cutters would easily cut through the cable. But I think that it provides enough of a deterrent that I'll be comfortable leaving personal items in it while I'm away from my chair. ... show more

This is the excellent item, that saves me from the worry at the beach. I put inside our car keys, two iPhones, two pairs of eyeglasses, and still there is some room. I try to discreetly attach it to the beach chair and cover with the towel. You should argue that someone can take a chair and cut the cord later, but it will be too big hassle : ). What I want is to have (in addition to the lock box safe) an additional longer cord, so I could keep two chairs together, but this probably will make the item even more expensive. The lock works fine. I used it weekly for two months and it works like new. I set a new password using the enclosed instruction' it was very easy to do. I am very glad that I bought this model. There are a lot of the competitors on the market, but this safe is very light, sturdy, and can be used as temporary purse when we are going from the beach for a lunch. We have it in dark blue color which I like. If you need to keep your things at the beach relatively safe while you are going for a swim, then I highly recommend this lock box safe. ... show more

Absolutely worth every penny and more. Used it several times since receiving it last month. On a cruise ship near the pool or.. in port on the beach... was great knowing our belongings were safe locked away in a mini safe wrapped around the legs of beach chairs. All vacations prior to having the Safe there was a constant need to keep your eye on things and not move too far from belongings.. looking in towards your u secured bag several times while in the pool or swimming on the beach. No more! Finally.. it's size is perfect. Not so big that it's a pain to travel with.. and not so small that it's worthless. When travelling I fill it with odds and ends... when in use it can hold my phone.. my money... friends phone and small camera... watches.. and space for more if needed. The shape allows for placing things on top of each other so plenty of space. As you can tell... this is likely the favorite product ever purchased on Amazon and very sturdy..very useful! ... show more
