This was purchased to use at a nearby water park. I wasn't expecting anything as secure as an actual safe, I just wanted something that would deter theft and I think this thing fits the bill. It's larger than I was expecting (in a good way). I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max and there is room enough for the phone (probably 2 phones), a wallet and more. The plastic that it's made out of is fairly hard and doesn't have much of flexibility (meaning it's not real easy to bend it to force the lid open). I was able to easily set the combination to what I wanted and I also liked that one of those twirly wrist band things was included for the key. The cable that you can use to attach it to a stationary object (and keep the lid closed) feels similar to a bike lock cable and I like that when not needed, it can be pushed down inside the safe. Now, like I said, I don't expect this thing to provided total security. I'm sure a swift whack with a hammer would crack it open pretty easy and a pair of bolt cutters would easily cut through the cable. But I think that it provides enough of a deterrent that I'll be comfortable leaving personal items in it while I'm away from my chair. ... show more

I've had this in pink for several months now, carrying it everywhere I go, and it looks brand new. I dropped it on concrete one time while carrying groceries and it didn't even scratch it. It is 100% worth the money even though it's a bit expensive at $49. You get what you pay for and this is important to me so I paid for the best one I could find that I could carry. I use it to keep my medications safe and locked up. The dimensions are perfect for something like this. There's no lack of space, in my opinion, with this box. I carry it everywhere and I've only gotten compliments on how awesome it is. Nobody's ever asked "why are you carrying around a safe" they're more like "that's awesome where did you get that?" It's impossible to break into without a passcode or key, even an adult, unless someone stole it and smashed it. I expected it to be much easier to break into but we tried as a test and couldn't do it. So no child could ever get into it and an adult would likely have to use a hammer to break into it. That's how sturdy it is. It comes with 2 keys, if you lose both they will send you an extra one. However, it's easy to keep the extra key in a safe place to not lose both. I added a picture so you can see the size of it compared to a typical water bottle (a pint or .9 FL OZ). It's not too big and not too small. It's an attractive size and if you're buying this to keep medicine safe and away from kids I can say this is perfect for it. I will use it at the beach for my phone, wallet, and keys as well soon. They all fit easily in it. EDIT: So I originally reviewed this item on 1/1/2017. This is an update. 4/22/2018 This case is still as new. I get A LOT of compliments on it and questions of where I bought it. There's not a scratch on it, not on the pink not on the lock, not on the keys, not anywhere. It looks brand new. Everything works perfectly. Have I dropped it? Oh yeah. On a variety of hard & soft surfaces. I just wanted to let anyone reading know, nearly a year later and a half later, it's as new. This is a great little mobile safe. I used it with some friends at a swimming pool in Vegas. Cabled it to a couple lounges by the pool. It's just big enough to hold 4 men's money clips, all our cell phones, keys and other small items. We could safely meander around the pool area without fear of our stuff being snapped up. I like the combo and the key lock idea. I could give everyone a generic combination code to use and then you can change it. The key will open it up regardless. The cable is helpful for securing it to other things or just carrying purposes. It's tough plastic and if someone really wanted in it bad enough they could get into it, not something I would leave totally unattended with valuables, but secure enough to move around without having to keep a continual eye on your stuff. ... show more

This is the excellent item, that saves me from the worry at the beach. I put inside our car keys, two iPhones, two pairs of eyeglasses, and still there is some room. I try to discreetly attach it to the beach chair and cover with the towel. You should argue that someone can take a chair and cut the cord later, but it will be too big hassle : ). What I want is to have (in addition to the lock box safe) an additional longer cord, so I could keep two chairs together, but this probably will make the item even more expensive. The lock works fine. I used it weekly for two months and it works like new. I set a new password using the enclosed instruction' it was very easy to do. I am very glad that I bought this model. There are a lot of the competitors on the market, but this safe is very light, sturdy, and can be used as temporary purse when we are going from the beach for a lunch. We have it in dark blue color which I like. If you need to keep your things at the beach relatively safe while you are going for a swim, then I highly recommend this lock box safe. ... show more
