I had wasted space behind my computer on a corner desk. This fits behind my laptop nicely and makes that space useful for small items that would usually clutter my desk. It's sturdy enough for small objects, but I've seen a few reviews asking about placing heavy items (printers, etc.) on top, and I think the wire would bend for anything over about ten pounds. ... show more

I recently purchased this corner shelf as an addition to my version of 'Extreme Cubicle Makeover.' My desk area was due for some change, and I wanted to gain back some much-needed surface area. Since you only have so much to work with, every spare inch you can get back counts! :) This product certainly fits the bill. I managed to get rid of an entire flat 'in' tray that formerly occupied the corner area of my desk. All manila folders and reference books fit neatly in the organizer's side pockets, and I was further able to clear the area around my phone (Post-Its and notepads) and move often-used items (tape dispenser, page holder and stapler) to the horizontal mini-shelves. Another added bonus is the surface 'on top' of this organizer that creates a decently sized main shelf. For now, I use it for my cell phone, water bottles and a nice picture frame. In the future, I plan to put a lamp and maybe even a small speaker there. The possibilities are endless, really. First impressions tell me the construction of this organizer is sound. I wouldn't, however, try to put anything extremely heavy on its top. The only reason I gave it four stars is because, hey, there is always room for improvement. While the product is sturdy, the wire mesh could benefit from being a slightly heavier gauge. For what the product is today, it's a 5-star addition to my formerly semi-cluttered desk area! ... show more

I use this product in my cubicle at work. It is used to hold various generic office supplies. Below is a brief overview of this product: Quality: 1) Its just a generic black metal mesh organizer. Everyone's seen this type and this is just another variation. 2) Everything is held together well without any problems or signs of future issues Design: 1) Great design, can be used to hold heavier items as well as the lighter stuff that you reach for every day. 2) Since the top is completely flat you can, and I do, put more containers ontop of it making it a tower of organization. Not bad. Overall for the price its acceptable and I have zero complaints. If you need a office organizer that has a variety of uses, this is your best bet. ... show more

I was looking for a corner shelf for my newly renovated bathroom. I wanted something made of metal mesh as glass drives me crazy with the fingerprints and smudges, pretty as it can be. I searched and searched and could not find a thing made of the metal mesh I was seeking. One day, I had some website up and there was an ad on the right side for office products showing this Safco Onyx Mesh Desk Corner Organizer - presto! My new bathroom sink cabinet is black, so this goes perfectly with it. We mounted it with wall anchors and even poked a hole in one side of the bottom to hang my hair dryer from with a couple of black ceiling fan chain links. The tall openings on the sides hold hairspray, lotion, perfume, etc... My only misgiving is I wish the interior shelves were a little taller to accommodate standing up a make-up bottle, but otherwise, it is perfect. ... show more
