The bearings I got were spot on .5in. Initially I thought they were too small but I belive the rod I'm using from home depot is just over sized. These are dimensional accurate and allow for proper interference press fit based on engineering handbook. They are smooth and pre oiled, place them in my air conditioner fan as the oil light bearing failed. These bearing are used outside and they have not failed yet.
