  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the money
Size: 1-4X24
I was absolutely shocked, for the price this is probably in the top 2 LPVO's I have ever used. Is it a Nightforce, Leupold, or Steiner... No, what it is tho is the most affordable 1X Scope that is as close to a true 1X as I have used at this price point. It tracks very good and passed the box test I ran with it. It is clear with only a slight bit of distortion at the far edges, not much, but it is there. The Illuminated Reticle is nice and bright, but not daylight bright but I have never really used the Illumination in bright daylight anyway. I also like the BDC Rectical it has, works nice for 556/223 out to 400 yards. It has the capability to be used out to 600 yards but a 1X4 to me, is best used from 5 yards out to 300-400 yards so that is all I have used this Scope for. I have more expensive Scopes but for a decent piece of Glass for a Truck Rifle or for teaching a person who is new to AR's how to shoot and be on target the first trigger pull this is one helluva nice scope. I cant speak to the durability of it yet, I have only 430 rounds down range with it so far but I am gonna work on that after Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, hope everyone has a AWESOME Christmas! Additional Information : Well I posted the above December the 9th 2020 it is now November the 29th 2022 and I have put over 8,000 rounds down range using this Scope, my conclusion is this.... If you want a very affordable yet amazing 1x4x24 or 1x6 Scope for Self Defense, Hunting, or just having fun shooting, and hey we need to all remember that shooting is FUN!!!! do yourself a favor and try this Scope out. I have had it on a Diamondback AR since I wrote this review almost 2 years ago and the Scope and Carbine both are shooting and as accurate as they were when I got them. I have mainly used it for Self Defense Carbine Courses. I also have taught my 15 year old Daughter to shoot using a LPVO with this particular setup, she first learned on Iron Sights, then a Red Dot, then this. I believe it's very important to teach a new Shooter to use Iron Sights first because anything can happen and the Red Dot could die or the Scope could fail, anyway as for the Durability of this Scope it's tough! My Daughter was lowering the Carbine out of a Tree stand when the rope slipped and it fell about 7 and a half to 8 ft and landed on its side, well the Scope hit a damned tree root. She had unloaded the Carbine before she went to lower it so it wasn't like it had that little extra weight of a full Mag. We first put a new length of 550 cord in the Tree Stand for lowering purposes and then went and shot the Carbine for Zero. Well the Zero never moved! granted it's not like it fell out of a Helicopter while flying into a hot L.Z but 99% of us aren't doing any of that shit anyway. I really think this Scope is a perfect way to get into a LPVO without having to spend $600 to $700 on your 1st Scope. I honestly believe it hits in the $600 to $700 weight class of LPVO's ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars S2Delta Scope is a Game Changer
Size: 1-4X24
My love affair with S2D started when I couldn't find a sling that wore comfortably all day under a pack in the hot dry desert of the American southwest. A buddy suggested this Marine-vet owned brand, S2D, a couple of dudes that seemed to know what they were doing. The S2D tactical 2-pt sling quickly became the gold standard of slings. So good, I gave away my Magpul MS4. Next, S2D came out with a hunting rifle sling. Most of my rifles now wear an S2D sling. It is reliable, durable, easily adjustable, and comfortable. Last weekend, I took a PRS course and the instructors recommended an S2D scope for some of the carbine classes they were pitching. "S2D is in the optics market???" They told me they had recently tested the scope at a match and it performed as well as their premium optics but at a fraction the price. I admit, I was skeptical. The market is saturated with low end "budget" optics. How could this be any different? Well, I figured could always return it if I didn't like it...so I bought it. Let's just say I'm not returning this one. First, this scope is packed with features. The glass is just plain excellent. Clear to the edges. The eye relief is ample and forgiving at all settings. The reticle is absolutely amazing...I've never seen anything like it. There are thin crosshairs across the entire FOV...very retro but extremely useful for quick engagement. The center has an ACOG-like circle dot with BDC drops and x-mas tree windage. The reticle has a quick target ranging feature on the left hand side...simply line up a ~12" target in the drop bars, hold for wind, and squeeze. It works remarkably well with 556. This reticle has been designed, prototyped and tested by some of the most experienced PRS and CQB shooters in the industry. It's my favorite feature of the scope and really sets it apart from the competition. Best of all, it's illuminated...and yes it goes up to eleven. If the 1x isn't true, it's darn close...it's as true to 1x as my Vortex Strike Eagle. I can definitely use both eyes and engage quickly for CQB. With the reticle turned on, it's as fast as a red dot. The turrets are capped, which I like. The elevation and windage are in 1/2 MOA per click and the turrets have ~5 full revolutions...at 30 MOA each. That's 150 MOA folks. There are also rotation indication markings on the elevation knob so you always know where you're at. The clicks are super audible, crisp, and tactile. Very clean. Definitely not like budget brands. I have a Vortex Strike Eagle that costs 3-4x this much and has moosh for turret clicks. I'm not sure there's anything else with this many features in this class, folks. The scope even includes a throw lever, scope caps, an S2D lens cloth, allen key, and a name brand Li battery. For the price, it simply cannot be beat. Beyond good value, I think this scope is a real game changer. Keep up the strong work S2Delta! ... show more
