I didn't want to write on this product until I used it.... S Long battery rachet for about 60 bucks after I read the reviews I thought I'd take a gamble... very pleased so far .. I've charged and used both battery and life of battery was good and the performance of rachet was great .. just pull the trigger .. But, now if your bolts / nuts are very very tight you'll have to break em loose first.. I work on whole house generators and so far 95% of the bolts /nuts I put this on breaks them loose and I love this thing ... Update… after a years use and I use this thing everyday , I would Highly recommend this battery ratchet… still going strong !… very pleased and would buy this same tool again ! Ok another update 2 years later this tool is still going strong, I use it every day, monday- Friday.. Still going strong.. although I did have problems with the 4 screws holding the rachet head on where starting to back out.. put a little lock tight and screw them back in .. I'm sure gonna buy it again when and if this breaks ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just received my unit today and it appeared to be visibly used. Perhaps lightly used but did not arrive appearing as a new unit. What’s confusing is it was new packaged but the sockets was shuffled. The bag it was in looked used. The charger had scuff marks and the tools looked handled. Not particularly that big of an issue for me but non the less I should give an honest opinion. The case is cloth material. Unit appears strong. The package contained 1 manual ratchet, 2 batteries, charger, 10mm to 17mm socket set. Phillips attachments along w a 3/8 socket converter piece and a 16&17mm long sockets. I’m hoping I will like it and get great use out of it. ... show more

There are a number of car repairs you could attempt to do yourself and save money. Plus you get the satisfaction and feeling of accomplishment. So what stands in your way? Excuses, excuses, oh that’s going to be too much work, or oh that’s going to take too long. Well, not if you have a handy cordless ratchet wrench. Why do I use this Ratchet wrench over an Impact wrench? Most people don’t have a car lift. When you work in your driveway with your car on jack stands there isn’t a lot of room underneath. You can barely slide yourself under the car and there is not much space to hold a big impact wrench like a gun. Secondly, my impact wrench is so loud it hurts my ears, and surely annoys my neighbors. How do I use this cordless ratchet wrench? For bolts that have not been touched in years, I use a breaker bar, or normal wrench to break the bolts, then I switch to the cordless ratchet to zip the screws off and on. If you try with just your fingers, the bolts get stuck at some point and you would have to put the wrench back on again. After screwing the bolts back on, they need to be torqued to spec. Smaller bolts can be torqued with the S-Long ratchet manually, by feel e.g. 8 lb-ft or 20 lb-ft, and for larger bolts I finish with a separate torque wrench as a final step. So the cordless ratchet is quite convenient, and quick. It feels solid, is not too big or too small, about the length of a normal ratchet. Why did I choose S-Long? S-Long has 400 RPM, other brands typically have only 200 RPM which is mind numbingly slow. For me, 800 RPM would be even better. ... show more

It is a good value kit with both a cordless electric and a manual ratchets, and all sockets and drivers, all neatly organized in its case. It coming with two batteries is important as it it would prolong the life of the the tool use. The cordless ratchet lacks power though. It will not be able to loosen a moderate tighten nut/bolt. You would have to lock it, loosen first manually then unlock to have the ratchet unscrew the rest of the way. Same for screwing in a nut/bolt, would need to manually hand tighten. ... show more

I haven't used it much yet, but so far, with the few projects I've done, I am very impressed. The quality of the tool itself seems as good as any name brand tool. The sockets and accessories are mid-grade in my opinion. The battery is a lot like my craftsman battery that I bought about 16 years ago, and that battery has lasted all this time, so I hope it goes that long. The charger looks almost identical to the craftsman one, but is slightly different for these batteries. The tool itself has a surprising amount of torque. I wasn't expecting much torque if any from it, because it's a ratchet, not an impact driver. It will pull on your hand if you tighten a bolt down all the way. I have not used it long enough to fully drain the battery or test the longevity, so I did not rate those. I would say this is well worth the price. ... show more

Had to drop this to a single star. One battery does not charge, and the charger itself does not have proper indicator light. Definetly cheap junk. Unless the manufacturer steps up and replaces the bad battery and charging unit I cannot recommend this item. ‐----- So I just bearly got this. It seems sturdy and overall ok, but immediately two flaws drop my rating to three stars. First and foremost the battery is SO TIGHT in the unit it is almost impossible to remove them. Seriously the releast tabs on the battery are so stiff and the battery is so snug that it took all I had to get them out. I'm just hoping they will loosen up in time? The other odd thing is that there are a bunch of fittings that come with it but do not have a place fit in the case which means they will rattle around in there or just get lost. I'll be putting this tool to the test over the next week so I'll add more to my review then. Also not sure if the battery charger works correctly becuase it always shows green not red (when charging) as the instructions indicate. I may have to send this back, we'll see... (you get what you pay for, I guess.) ... show more
