I have little cartilage left between the bones in my feet. I often have needed to wear elastic bands around the arches in order to be able to walk the halls at school. I tried multiple different brands and nothing was quite right. I lucked upon the Ryka brand and decided to give them a try. Oh my, I currently have 6 pairs in my closet and will not buy any other brand. Love almost all the color choices for each design, the ease of use, especially after a knee replacement. The traction can depend on the style but I have never had an issue in snow or rain. They are mesh on top but dry easily if worn in wet tall grass or rain. The insert is great and I have found them to be within true to size . I vary the thickness of ankle socks depending on the weather and these shoes allow that. I love the arch and heel support, especially if I am on my feet all day. They do carry water shoes too and I wear them at the beach or if I am outside knowing my feet will be wet. The sand can be hosed out and all have gone into the washer and air dried with no issues. ... show more

Love these shoes, they are so comfortable. They’re not super durable, but theyre great if you can get a deal. The thing I like best is the bigger toe box. I’m usually on the cusp of -or actually needing- a wide shoe depending on the brand but I don’t need a wide with these and also don’t feel like my feet are squished in! I am absolutely loving the Ryka Women’s Devotion X walking shoes! 👟 They are so comfortable right out of the box, cushioned, supportive, and perfect for long walks or everyday wear. The fit is great, snug but not tight, and my feet feel secure with every step. I also love the stylish design!! it looks sporty but goes well with casual outfits too. The sole has excellent traction, so I feel confident even on slick or uneven surfaces. They’re easy to clean and so far have been top quality so they’re definitely worth the money. !! These shoes have totally upgraded my walking routine!! I actually look forward to putting them on every day! Still not sure what I think. I need space in the toe box at the base of the laces around my "toe knuckles" (not my toe nails), which compared to about 11 other pairs Ive tried, these were the best Ive tried so far, without having a big floppy square toe. There seems to be too many layers of fabric supporting the laces contraption, so while there is space, they have caused a structure which presses down on my toe knuckles, particularly on the big toe. The rest of the shoe fits fine... but not nearly as comfortable to wear all day as other brand name athletic shoes I've owned (and prefer except for my new toe condition). To be clear, my feet do not hurt while wearing them, instead its when I take them off that my feet ache and are so glad to not be in them any more. They look fashionable enough, thet except for the huge, unfamiliar brand logo, not many people will glance at them and think you've got orthopedic shoes on. I got a light / denim blue color, which is neutral enough for my style. They're the best I have right now, but I will likely replace them with something else, soon. ... show more

Right out of the box these are better than expected! The arch support, chef's kiss. The fit, perfect. The cushion, comfy. The iridescent back, gorgeous. As a nurse spending several hours a day on my feet, I'm thrilled. Saving these to buy again!

The Ryka Devotion X in folk blue arrived brand new in a beautiful box with shoe trees and tissue paper! They were immaculate and stunning in design and color scheme. Perfection! But since I have problems with balance plus arthritis, the ultra-cushioning of the “X” line (including the heel) is not stable enough for my needs. I am sadly returning them. After trying so many different shoe brands over the years, I can confidently say RYKA is the one that truly works for me. This is only my second pair of RYKA shoes in my entire life, and I honestly wish I had discovered them sooner. The comfort is unbelievable—lightweight, true to size, no pain, no slipping, and it genuinely feels like I’m not wearing shoes at all. Best of all, no more pain in my toes, which has been such a relief. They fit my feet so well and provide the comfort I’ve struggled to find with other brands. I’ve spent money on many brands searching for the “right” fit, but nothing compares. I can wear these for hours without discomfort, and my feet stay happy. Yes, RYKA can be a bit pricey, but for me, happy feet are worth every penny. The quality, fit, and comfort make them worth the investment.
