Ryka is a very good shoe. This particular one I would give 4.5 stars only because it is a little less sturdy on the sole area. They are built to conform to a woman's foot and they are also attractive. The inner foot bed is removable. Very pleased with these walking shoes!!

I have been wearing another brand named walking shoe for years. My arthritic feet started bothering me more and more so I decided to try a different brand. I took the Rykas out of the box to try them on and wore them for the rest of the day as they were so comfortable. I had ordered another more expensive shoe to try and there was no comparison in the comfort. I returned the other shoes (while wearing my Rykas!!) and my first 2 mile walk in them was a pleasure. I have a wide foot and walk from 2=4 miles a day. I have tried multiple athletic brands and then saw this one advertised in a magazine for women. They fit wonderfully, are incredibly comfortable from day 1 and have the support and padding that I need for walking. I bought 4 pairs of this specific model over a 2 yr period. None of the shoes lasted over 6 mos before the support was gone, heel and bottom were worn or crumbling or holes started forming in the toe box. I stuck with them because it is such a pain. The last time, I switched to a different model, the Ryka Women's, Devotion X Walking Shoe hoping for a better outcome. It's been 4 mos and the heel is worn through and the support is nearly gone. As much as I like these shoes, I may have to look for another brand. :-( Maybe this is normal for athletic sneakers now. But if so - they don't make 'em like they used to! ... show more

I am so impressed with the fit, quality, and price of my first pair of Ryka shoes! They fit my 80-year-old arthritic feet perfectly. Until now, I have experienced pain in my feet, ankles, or legs with any shoe or slipper. The real test of the Rykas was being on my feet for 5 hours working a garage sale. I had little to no arthritis pain in my feet and ankles afterward. I also visited the Ryka store online and found all kinds of cool styles that are still within my budget. I wish I had found Rykas before this. I've returned so many Amazon shoe orders at Kohl's that I'm on a first-name basis with the cashiers! Now, I've found a shoe company that does not fabricate their product description and I get a high-end fit for a reasonable price. It doesn't get any better than that! ... show more

    • I REALLY Wanted to Like These but They Run Way Small
Size: 10 Wide Color: Quiet Grey
The shoe is attractive, looks well made, has reasonable support and cushioning. I'm 5'4" at 135 lbs and normally wear a 9 1/2. Medium or Wide depending on the toe box design. I got these in 10 W and the still were a size too short and too narrow. Very disappointed and will have to return these.

    • Comfort when walking.

My complaint is more about the exchange/return process than the shoe itself. I ordered a size 8 M and found that it was snug and too narrow. I returned the shoes and exchanged them for 8 1/2 W. The shoe fits very well but I soon discovered that the shoe appeared to have been worn as evidenced by the light black marks on the soles and a small piece of food in a groove on the sole. I decided to keep the walking shoe as they are very comfortable, the width is now right except for a very inconsiderate individual. I did not exchange them again as I wondered what a third pair might be, but will more than likely not order shoes online again. ... show more
