I bought this to get the AC working again in my 08 WRX. It is the right part and the install was a breeze, Just be sure to replace the two O-rings at the same time. Once installed I took the car to the dealership to get charged. Two complaints... The mechanic wh charged it says the temp differential between the AC and ambient air temp should be about 20 degrees. The ambient temp was in the mid to upper 70s and he could only achieve a 62 degree temp out of the vents, perhaps inefficiencies elsewhere in the system. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM!!! The compressor made a ton of noise! It has quieted down since the system was first charged but it makes a loud buzzing sound from time to time. THIS IS NOT a normal AC compressor sound. It works but I don't like the noise and it makes me wonder how long this compressor will last. This is a car I don't drive often but I have given it over a week of consistent driving to quiet down and it still gets loud sometimes. ... show more

I've had it installed for about 9 months and no issues it works great. Only had one problem when installing, one of the ports on the top was smashed in a little so the round hole was no longer round but I was able to get the line in with a little force and it does not leak, it must have been dropped. ... show more

So far it's working, I didn't like it was painted dark grey. I stripped the paint off and found dirt under the paint so I had to clean it with a tooth brush, but the price is reasonable. Just would be nice if they cleaned it and leave it bare. I like to keep my motor clean on my wrx and the compressor is very visible on subarus so stop painting the compressors! ... show more
