  • Works, but it could push more air out
This is good for the price is does it’s job it’s just basic in terms of quality

  • It Works
I installed this compressor on my 2006 Mazda 3. The compressor itself looked identical to the OEM item aside from the incorrect wire plug. I cut the pug off the original and used it on the new one. Once installed the a/c worked great and blew cold the only problem being that it was extremely noisy. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement. The replacement worked great and they had good customer service. ... show more

  • So far, so good!
Compressor housing had some dents and dings, most notably the front hanger being completely broken off, but bolted up fine, held vacuum, and produces good pressure readings.

  • NOT NEW
I ordered the compressor as new and I received a refurbish one. Why ? Requesting some kind of discount. Is there any warranty?

  • Item not as pictured, not "plug and play", horrible customer service
Was not a "plug and play" installation on my 07 Mazda3 2.3L. The first picture shows a wiring difference between the Amazon listing and what I received. The Amazon picture matched the original compressor I took off of my 3, and the wires being held by the clip exit parallel to the compressor. The RYC compressor did not. This difference, though may appearing to be small, caused the RYC wires to touch the oil pan when the compressor was installed (second picture). Needless to say, I did NOT want the wires touching the oil pan, and obviously Mazda did not either when they installed the original compressor. I called RYC directly and was treated very poorly by a woman who I talked to twice. I wrote a detailed email and simply asked them to explain why the wiring was different and why they thought the wires touching the oil pan would not be an issue. Needless to say, I was given a very short answer, and when I asked for them to respond to my email, they never did. I went ahead and cut the wire from my old compressor by the clutch, and soldered it to the RYC compressor. Was way more work then I was intending to do. You can also see in the second picture that the flange was clearly damaged. It seemed to hold the -30 psi vacuum for an hour before I recharged the system. *knock on wood* You get what you pay for. I will not be purchasing another item from RYC, and would recommend paying more money for a better compressor and customer service. ... show more
