I had the compressor installed by a shop and within the first 5 minutes it locked up and started to smoke and snapped my serpentine belt. It got caught between my crank pulley and timing cover. If I was driving the car back home “4 hrs away” I could have been stranded with my 2yr old and pregnant wife. The compressor was painted silver and so was the clutch and pulley. It does not show anywhere in the description that the item is refurbished. I was sold something I did not purchase and cause me more money to fix than what it should be! Refrigerant, serpentine belt, my time, and labor cost! This seller should be sued for selling items that are not as described. I expect a full refund, the money for the mechanic and this sellers profile banned. ... show more

    • Works but had to drill out holes
It was a good replacement, other than the rear bolt holes were not drilled correctly and couldn’t get in, had to drill out to get bolts to go into block. I’m a mechanic and know what I’m doing.

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW: Going to try to return this POS as it has been noisy since the day it was installed and now it sounds like it is going to blow up. I have tried a return and replace of the item I ordered and neither product worked I requested a refund but have not received my refund and cannot trace the status of my refund. I'm sent through the same loop as though I'm initially requesting a return. This is unacceptable.
