The first two words of the title of this item tell the whole story. Rustic, handcrafted. You absolutely get that vibe from this. They had the option to perfectly polish this with a high grit sandpaper, and elected not to, giving it a very rough and rustic feel. I had initially a bit of concern that the white stain would rub off on my teak table, but so far no problems. The weight of this is reasonable, it's a very nice vase made of a solid piece of wood. Obviously the aesthetics will be up to you, this goes well with the natural wood furniture I have in this room photographed, and this would probably also look really nice on something like glass. I will only be putting dried flowers in it, so I cannot speak to using actual water in it, but given that this is natural wood I would advise against it. Otherwise this is appropriately sized and well made, earning it five stars.

I had some vases already, and when I saw this one, I thought it could mesh well with not only the vases I already own but the majority of my decor. I seasonally change out decorative flower stems, so the fact it's not suitable for live stems is not a problem. I like that the vase is made from natural wood, all in one piece. I also like that this vase isn't as fragile as ceramic or glass vases and brings some warmth due to the wood. I was fine with the vase being rustic, with wood grains showing. What I wasn't expecting was for it to feel rough in spots. The listing mentioned a non-slip pad on the bottom? Mine has nothing, and I'm 99 percent sure there wasn't anything besides the vase in the box. I think the vase is versatile with a lot of different styles. I did try to style my vase with flowers already on hand but will later switch it out for something different. I do think autumn-colored foliage will look really nice in this vase and eucalyptus stems in the spring. My 4-star rating is based on the simple fact that I like it, but I don't love it. I do know that in person I would not have purchased this vase for the price listed.

This wooden vase is different and attractive. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything quite like it before. It's made of paulownia wood, and I had to look it up because I had never heard of it. Paulownia is considered a hard wood, but it is very light-weight. I will probably need to use some of that tacky poster holder stuff on the bottom of this vase or my cats may knock it over. It is evenly carved but has a rustic finish so it is not completely smooth. It is lightly white-washed which really enhances the visible age rings. It has such a great boho look and will look great with my macrame wall hangings and plants in macrame hangers. The inside of the vase is not completely carved out, but rather has a cylindrical hole that's great to hold straw, dried, or fake flowers. There are so many ways to create a great look with this vase.

This is such a pretty vase for artificial or dried flowers. (Flowers were not included.) It's the perfect addition to my bedroom for the boho makeover I'm doing. I don't see joins anywhere; it really is crafted from a single piece of wood, and the grain pattern on the vase I received is different from the patterns in the listing photos and other reviews. The dimensions on the listing are accurate to the actual product (at least the height). It came with three non-slip pads to apply to the bottom to prevent any potential damage to the surface it's sitting on. There was a very strong chemical smell when I first unboxed it. Maybe from the "hand-applied white wash technique?" Luckily, it has since dissipated. The vase does wobble a bit when given a little nudge, but it's meant to sit on a surface and look pretty, so I'm not concerned about it. Overall, this vase is a really unique and beautiful addition to any room if you are going for that farmhouse or bohemian look.

Okay, this was a bit of a surprise. I knew it was a wooden vase, but I didn't expect it to be so rough. They could have done a much better job sanding it. And, I have to be honest, the price was outrageous. The weight was acceptable (light enough for handling, but heavy enough not to be easily knocked over). One would have thought for the price that the cavity for the florals would have been larger, but it is slightly less that 2.5" across and 8" deep, cylindrical hole. I guess that is okay for slender dried flower stems, but the measurements are awkward if you want to put a glass vase down inside for occasional live arrangements. I wanted 'rustic,' but it feels more like something that is made quickly and cheaply then sold for top dollar. It just isn't what I was hoping it would be. I will say, from a distance, it doesn't look bad, but when you handle it, you get a sense of something cheaply and quickly made. Perhaps I'm wrong about that, but I just know it isn't for my 'farmhouse.'
