  • Great product for the cost!
Color: Purple
I took this pack to multiple cities in South America and checked it multiple times with no rips or damages. The zippers are a little thin if you are jamming a lot into your pack and there is a lot of tension but other than that tons of room and great pockets.

  • Good 1-2 day summer pack
Color: Navy
Overall: It has its pros and cons, and being a $25 pack, its not going to be high end when it comes to the zippers and space management. My main drawback is the outside straps dont hold my sleeping bag as theyre not big enough. Because of this I put it inside the bag along with my cooking pot, collapsible silicone bowl/cup, and sleeping pad. At this point the bag was fairly full and I could only fit 1-2 days worth of clothes. I couldnt fit a small blanket for colder weather hiking/camping. The bottom pocket is very limited, I could fit a few small odds and ends and its hard to access the pocket when the bag is full. For these reasons I say this pack is ideal for short 1-2 day summer journeys, where blankets/multiple layers of clothing arent necessary to be in the pack. Its a tight fit to get everything in but it does fit. For $25, this pack is very good, however for 3 or 4 season stuff, look elsewhere for a bigger/more organized bag. Pros: - Comfortable - Fits everything for a short 1-2 day summer camping trip - Material is lightweight and seems fairly durable - $25 - Lots of colors to choose from Cons: - Zippers are finicky - Only has 2 real pockets, the main compartment and a small bottom compartment which is difficult to use when the main one is full - The outside straps are too small for my sleeping bag, however hold my sleeping pad/camping chair just fine - Straps arent doubled over on the end so theyll fall right off the clip if pulled too far - Mesh outside pocket is somewhat spacious but I'm hesitant to put anything in it as I'm afraid it may fall out ... show more

  • Gets a Merit Badge
Color: Grey
Purchased for my son for a camping trip. He was carrying about a lot of stuff, more than could fit in his "school style" backpack. So, we tried a few options, and my wife was fairly anxious about the weight--which was about half his body weight. Fair enough, boss lady. My military Alice pack and Sandpiper assault pack went back into the closet and I got these and a few other lighter-weight items. Several compartments, the size is good for an adult packing light for a day or two, or a boy scout carrying everything but the kitchen sink. The material is a good compromise between durability and weight. I taught him the order in which he should fill the bag, set the straps for his build, then taped them down. Plenty of extra space with the compression sleeping bag that I also purchased, and the chest and waist strap allowed for him to move a lot less awkwardly under the same load than he did in my Sandpiper of California. As an individual who, despite a lot of time in the military, still likes hiking and camping but isn't getting any younger, I'm seriously considering getting a slightly larger size for myself. Besides, the Alice pack's metal frame creaks annoyingly. ... show more

  • Too big for a petite frame
Color: Grey
Seems to be a well made bag and worked well for a weekend backpacking trip. However, it was way too big for my petite frame (110lb) so recommend looking at sizing before you buy!

  • It works, but…
Color: Grey
This is a fine bag for what I have in mind for it (weekend get aways where a rolling carry on is a hassle.) This bag is cheaply made, with very thin fabric, flimsy zippers, but for $30, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a heavy duty use backpacking bag meant for multi-week trips, this is not the bag for you. This bag has plenty of capacity , and will hold up to light loads since it is lacking an internal frame. Overall, knowing what I was probably getting quality wise when I ordered it, it will meet my needs that I have planned for its use. ... show more

  • Perfect for short backpacking trip
Color: Black
I took this on an 8 day trip to The Bahamas. This is my sixth solo trip and I always wanted to commit to backpacking. I am so glad I did. Fit perfectly in the plane over head bin and in my hostel locker. I used to use a school backpack and a small carry on suitcase. This backpack fits the suitcase amount and half the school backpack space so I was able to downsize to a mini backpack. Carried the pink one in front and this 50L backpack in the back. So many great pockets and straps to really maximize efficiency. One of my best travel purchases! ... show more
