  • (6mo UPDATE)You can DeGoogle this phone BUT ATT killed it
Color: Black 7GB+64GB
Disclaimer: I hate smart phones and would go back to a flip phone if I could. I do ABSOLUTELY ZERO Banking and Social Media on my phone - NONE ZIP ZILCH. If you love all things Google, move along as I've nothing to tell you other than you can NO LONGER make the phone work with AT&T and it works perfectly with T-Moble as advertise as well as Consumer Cellular. UPDATE 1: ATT finally figured out what this phone is and turned it off. So I moved to Consumer Cellular. UPDATE 2: This phone is not "water proof" but "water resistant" - if you leave the covers open (headphone jack or USB port) and MAYBE, I don't know,... drop it in a bucket of water(?) it will let water into places it doesn't like and will stop working properly. The warm bag of rice trick may work to recover data, (it did for me...uh... I mean.. it would have if I had theoretically dropped it in a bucket of water......... no pictures, it didn't happen....) Why I bought this phone: It's inexpensive compared to anything at the AT&T store, it's rugged and I'm clumsy, and once DeGoogled I usually get 2+ days on a charge depending on use and where I travel. With heavy use of maps and internet, I have run it down to 20% in a single day. It also has REAL GPS, not just cell and WiFi triangulation for location - this is important if you are in rural/wilderness areas without cell coverage (like 20% of Arkansas). Biggest Complaint: MicroUSB instead of USB-C and I can't fully UNINSTALL unused aps. OK, the nerdy stuff..... Connecting to AT&T - You can't anymore: Some of the Blackviews can still be tricked into working on ATT, but this model can't - because ATT doesn't like it. It works just fine, they just don't want you using a phone they don't sell, so they turned it off. Good bye ATT - and good riddance. **NOW to privacy and DeGoogling. ** As I said, if live and die by your gmail/google account, more power to ya. I don't. I don't want google tracking me everywhere. I don't want any of MAGA following me (Microsoft Amazon Google Apple) following me. So: - you can use this phone to make and receive calls and txt with NO email or other identifiable accounts beyond the account with your service provider (AT&T in my case). - you can use this phone with data and location turned off to make and receive calls and txt. - you can access developer mode for full administrative access. - you can enable the All Sensors Off button for the menu. - you can disable all google aps, disable location for any ap or set to ONLY WHEN IN USE for the ones you can't uninstall. - you can install F-Droid so that you can use open source alternatives to things that come on the phone and are in the play store. - you can replace most of the preinstalled aps, including the keyboard (Gboard) with alternative (read: Privacy Focused) aps. - you can install Open Street Maps (OSM) and use it off line - you can install a number of browsers with ad/tracker blocking enabled (DuckDuckGo, JQuarks and others) - you can manually configure a prefered DNS server. - you can install a variety of VPN services. **Other thoughts (Updated after 6 months)** - it can be used as a HotSpot for other devices and I've watched YouTube on an iPad through this connection. - the GPS is as accurate as my Garmin's - I'm able to use it to play high quality FLAC audio files via BlueTooth and via the headphone jack to AUX. - I've installed a couple of other camera aps and I get better quality pictures using these aps over the default. ... show more

  • Excellent product & support
Color: Green 7GB+64GB
I originally purchased this Blackview Bv4900 Pro Android device because of the gorilla glass, the rugged features of the phone and how cost effective it was for me. After owning it for a short period of time, a technical issue caused me to be concerned over replacing the device with another from a company not so distant in customer service. After contacting the right people,I learned that not only was my warranty on the item so much better then I even knew but the customer service agents were very quick to honor that warranty without hassle and ship a new one out before I even expected or knew my options. They didn't make me go thru and of those resetting options that would fail but always seems to be protocol. They went above and beyond to very quickly get a replacement sent out to me & surprisingly with no hassle or questions that sometimes just slows down the inevitable process of replacing the device. This team of specialists deserve 6 stars for help me get a new working phone as quickly and effortlessly as possible. Need I say, I would definitely purchase this product again and are very happy to give my business again to such a professionally courteous team at Blackview. And the gorilla glass feature is really the way to go too, I must add. Every phone should have it! Thanks for what I still think and hope is a great product! I need to add I have knocked down only to three stars for the battery life due to the fact that I believe that was part of my technical issue although I'm not sure and I will send an update after I use the phone for a bit And, sorry, I can't speak on the fingerprint reader because I just don't use it ... show more

  • Amazingly tough phone!
Color: Black 7GB+64GB
This phone is great. It has been run over, left in rain overnight, dropped from high heights, etc... yet is none the worse for wear. Don't think I'll ever buy another other maker's product. This Blackview is great, and has a ton of features no other phones do.

  • This is the 3d Blackview I have purchased
Color: Black 7GB+64GB
**Works great with MINT Mobile** Like the title says, I have bought 3 Blackview phones and will continue to do so!! I had bought my first Blackview back in 2020. And wow! That phone was so impressive and so sturdy! I am really bad about keeping track of my phone and kind of just throw it wherever most of the time. Not even once did this phone sustain any damage/freeze up/slow down, NADA! Everytime it would fall, it would somehow always land face down and lo and behold, not a scratch! Not a crack! Nothing!! It is kind of heavier than most phones due to the ruggedness so it does slip out of my pockets a lot and it's so loud when it does fall but i will rather it be heavier and loud than have to replace my phone every month since other phones break so easily now!! Also another issue i had was with the charging port. Since this type of phone is waterproof, it comes with little rubber flaps that need to be manually opened/closed after use (aux/charging/sim) and even though the charging rubber thingy is open, it was a bit difficult keeping the phone plugged in to the USB cable Eventually i just ended up taking the charger port cover off to make it easier to charge. But other than that, I was completely sold on this brand. The only reason I had to get another one this year is that the battery finally started giving out on me so I had to get a new one. I didn't hesitate and bought this same one, just the upgrade model this time. And so far, with all the falls, it's still runs great! I even accidentally dropped it in a toilet (it was before using it so it was clean) the very first day of having this phone and after fishing it out AND of course washing my hands/cleaning the phone it was like nothing had happened to it. It was still brand new! I have now convinced my roommate to get a Blackview since he goes thru at least 4 phones a year with his clumsy self, and so far he is impressed! Buy this phone! Especially if you are a clumsy as I am! It is totally worth it! ... show more
