I honestly didn’t expect much. My 12 year old son insisted he wanted to be a T Rex for Halloween. It’s his favorite holiday. I grudgingly bought this costume. It worked like an absolute champ! It was correct in size. The blower kept the costume inflated the whole time. He could see well, even in the dark. He could stoop and run. He even negotiated steps and curbs. Product operated as it should. Because it is so thin, I assume for the inflation purpose, I felt we had to be extra careful when entering it or walking around. It can definitely puncture if you aren't careful enough. Also had to be careful with the zippers because it felt like it could easily tear if someone was too forceful. Inflation wasn't instantaneous but didn't take long. If wearing for Halloween trick or treating, here is what we experienced. 1. If getting in and out of a vehicle when trick or treating it will likely have to deflate and inflate each time going in and out of the vehicle because the head is tall and tail long. 2. Getting inside of the costume be sure to have your child duck under the zipper to pull it over. If they try to stretch it over their head it may bust the zipper out. 3. It was a little of a challenge for my child to see where their feet were going. Had to be the guide for some moments. 4. The battery pack for the fan clips on the child's waist of their clothing. Be sure they can handle that being clipped on there. 5. Because walking in a balloon is awkward, my child was getting tired of the walking way before the other children. Once it got dark, the whole visual issue got worse as well. Overall, we still enjoyed the humor of the costume and people enjoyed seeing it. Just keep the points above in mind and consider the tendencies and tolerances of your child before buying. ... show more

Bought this for a 10 year old boy that's kind of tall for his age. He fit fine into it. Halloween was warmer than usual in western NY 60 degrees and it fogged up on him inside . He was a little too warm in it. I imagine in warmer weather where the breathe won't fog it would've been better. But quality wise 5 stars ... show more

This is a truly hilarious costume. Decent construction - it survived a full night of middle school trick-or-treating. My suggestion would be to order the "standard" size. We bought the "teen" size, which was fine for my son (wears boys 12-14), but waaaay to small on me (5'3"). I guess I have a long torso, but I could only hike it up so high, and could not bend down to get my head in to the hole when trying to get it on. In that sense, having a bigger size is better - it will make it easier to get on. The plastic view compartment will work even if you're on the shorter side IMO. Anyway, if you're thinking about getting this costumer, just do it. So worth it. You will be on the floor laughing! ... show more

    • HORRIBLE DON’T BUY, SCREWS CAME STRIPPED FAN STOPPED WORKING QUICKLY

So we got my daughter this inflatable t-Rex costume for her birthday in September. I didn’t want her to try it till closer to Halloween because I didn’t want things to go missing. She tried it on for the first time the day before Halloween. It tells you to in screw the battery pack, well I unscrewed the fan by mistake. It shouldn’t have been a problem, you just screw it back in right? NOPE because we had a hard time with the screws because they came stripped! We tried to use a screwdriver but it just wouldn’t turn. I’m surprised we even got a few of them out! So we did the best we could and put batteries in. It ran for two minutes without problems then it made a rattling sound and it started to deflate!!! And we put brand new batteries in it! We thought maybe some how the batteries were to blame so we switched them the next day (Halloween) and NOPE! We didn’t have money to get her another costume, we literally had 10 bucks to our name. My 11 year old wanted this costume so badly that she asked us to get it for her birthday, normally we can’t afford to spend this much on a costume. She has been excited about dinosaurs lately. And because I bought it back in September I can’t even return it and let her get a different bday gift!!! DONT BUY THIS CHEAPLY MADE COSTUME, AND IF YOU DO BUY IT CHECK THE SCREWS!!! Also I didn’t realize how the tail was unsafe by being dragged on the ground, I was nervous about her accidentally catching it on fire from pumpkins. So I just went through more of the reviews (I read some before buying but all the negative ones you had to hit read more reviews) and now that I know a lot of others had problems with the fan and with people getting costumes that were returned I know for sure it’s nothing I did.
