    • It's okay... homemade would have turned out better.
We're doing a murder mystery play based on the Addams Family, and I purchased Wednesday's costume to save me some sewing. This costume is OKAY, but that's it. The fabric is a little bit sheer, so remember to use a black slip underneath. Sizing is good, even a little generous. The collar and cuffs are made of thin fabric covered foam and were wrinkled when I opened the package, but after a few days, the foam expanded while the dress aired on a hanger and the wrinkles did not read onstage. The belt is a ridiculous scrap of the same fabric as the dress with the buckle cut from the same foam, it tied in the back. We didn't use it. The fabric was not sturdy enough for me to replace the belt with a row of buttons, and even though we found a suitable belt, we opted to not use it. There is an elastic gather in the back, which caused the dress to have the familiar "A"-line shape, and it worked fine. Overall, the dress was a bit overpriced as far as quality goes. I suspect you are paying for the licensing, but it did work fine for our production. ... show more

I like the costume, but It was too big on me. I'm in between a medium and large so I figured to get a large just to be on the safe side. When I ordered the costume it said large 12-14 so I thought ok perfect, it will fit me a tad loose. So when I tired it on it fit me like a sack. I wasn't feeling the costume. So I look at the bag of the costume to see if by accident they had giving me the wrong size and I took a look at the sizing SMALL 6-10 MEDIUM 10-14 LARGE 14-16 If you all want to order it go down a size because it extremely stretchy. ... show more

The costume was fun and fit well. However, I think it could have been made a little better - the belt was a strip of fabric with some felt-like material for the buckle and tied in the back. A real belt would have been better. Also, the white collar and cuff-trim on the sleeves was also made of the same felt-like fabric, which could have been constructed a little better. My girl loved it and most people understood who she was. Although, some people thought she looked like a pilgrim-she had white face makeup, black lips and carrying the bloody skull with a candle in it. Not sure how they got a pilgrim out of all that, but now you know it can be used for more than one character. ... show more
