Really cute costume, my kiddo is undersized for her age so based on reviews I ordered a small (she's a very petite 6 year old- barely over 40 lbs and about 45" tall), and it just fits. I think if it was any shorter I wouldn't have kept it, and would've sent back for a larger size. In general we should've gotten a medium. Reason for 4 stars over 5 is the lace that goes up the front stomach area shredded apart during lacing (it arrived separate and unlaced), and the shoe covers are incredibly small and we won't be able to use them- again my kiddo is teeny tiny and skinny, and they didn't fit. So this costume has kinks, I'd be fine with that if it was cheaply priced, but it's priced normally and I expected a bit better quality and sizing. ... show more

Looks nothing like the picture. String for vest is purple, not orange, and frayed like crazy. Ended up having to buy ribbon and using that. Does not have a shimmer look with the aqua color. Does not poof out. Very disappointing .

This is a cute costume...I can't say it looks very much like a pirate unless you add an eye patch, sword...maybe hat. My daughter is nearly 5 and the small(4-6) fits her...it's actually a tad big and very long compared to the fit on the girl on the picture/packaging. The boot covers look more like pilgrim shoes and because the dress itself is so long on my average height/weight daughter....it's hard to see where the dress ends and the boots take over. The boot covers don't add to the look so we won't be using them this year...but perhaps in a year or two she'll pull the costume out and the boot covers will make sense on a taller kid. Any way....it appears pretty durable and well made...fabric/construction isn't too cheap looking for a $20 costume and the design/color scheme/details makes it look pricier than it really is. All in all...I'd get it again if for nothing more then dress up play but if you want a true "pirate" look...it will require additional accessories and maybe a bit of an imagination. :) We bought a "used - like new" one and I'm VERY pleased with the quality and the few dollars we saved because it does look "like new" and for a potential one time use item like a child's costume...makes sense. ... show more

I attempted to search for it everywhere and could not find it at all. The costume small says 3-4 year olds but if she is chunky then get next size up in my opinion. My 3 year old can still wear it but it fits just so. But I still love it and recommend highly.
