    • Good costume, worth the extra cost over the standard version
I purchased both this costume and the standard version, both in "Standard" size. Neither one of the costumes includes the wig or makeup. Of the two versions I much prefer this deluxe costume. For reference I am 5'11", 195 lbs and wear a 42 Regular. The deluxe costume (Rubie's #888736) uses a matte woven fabric that resembles suit-type material. The jacket has a single button closure, is snug in the armpits, but the sleeves are the correct length. If I button the jacket I need to suck in my gut in order to prevent it from stretching and pulling at the button. The lapels on the deluxe jacket have a much better appearance over the standard version but the jacket is not lined. The included dickie with tie comes down almost to the waist on the front and the back, and it has strings on the sides to tie it. I did not try on the pants but they use a cinch and tie closure. I plan on wearing my own white shirt and black tie to complete the look of the costume. EDIT: The pants have a Velcro closure and are a little snug and I needed to use a safety-pin to keep them from opening. The costume looked great at our Halloween party! The standard costume (Rubie's #888735) on the other hand uses a shiny, satin-esque, very thin material. The jacket has a single dot of Velcro where the button should be and the lapels are backed with foam, which look like they will flip over to expose the reverse side and ruin the look of the costume. The included dickie with tie is very small, it only covers the front and ends just below the chest area. The jacket is snug in the armpits and the sleeves are too long, but sized correctly across the chest. Again, I did not try on the pants but they also have a cinch and tie closure similar to pajamas.     • Great costume, but weird fit
Size: Standard Color: Black/White
This costume consists of pants, a jacket, and a dickey shirt w/tie. Pros: good canvas-like material, not flimsy or see-through. Looks great on. Pants have a velcro closure and zip front. Dickey is full-length front and back with side ties. Tie is attached to the dickey, and the back has a velcro closure, so it's easy to put on. Cons: Jacket was a bit large, and the pants were a bit small. Kind of a strange combo, like they were mis-matched or something. However, I was able to wear the pants ok. Any smaller and I would've had to return them. The material looks bright and new, so I took the advice of other reviewers and mussed the jacket and dickey up a little bit. I used soot from the fireplace, and a few smudges of green and brown make-up. Worked great! Overall, this is a good costume. Again - be warned about the fit - I ordered the Standard size, and the pants barely fit me. (I usually wear a ladies 12-14 size.) I also ordered the Beetlejuice wig and makeup kit, and my costume was a hit at the party last nite. ... show more

Got the XL size for husband who is 6โ€™ tall and weighs 240 lbs. It is very snug. Need to have a XXL size.

It isn't a bad product. I know its just a costume but it feels like you are wearing the cheapest material possible. The pants have no room if you have a butt or a crotch. I bought the standard size which size wise should be too big for me but it just barely fits. So expect it to run a little smaller then expected. This was my THIRD attempt at getting the Beetlejuice costume. First one ran too small. The second one I purchased was a different manufacturer, with the costume made of cheap, silky material, which made the suit coat kind of โ€˜limpโ€. This is not true to your size so if you are a standard large you will need the XL, still the button is tight. The Costume is made of good material, after you wash it you will still have to press it to get all the folds out it. Over all I'm pretty pleased with the costume..

When I first opened the package I notice a large brown stain on the collar part. Other than that itโ€™s exactly what you paid for. Not the greatest material but it works. I would have rated it a 3 if not for the weird brown stain on it. So just be careful when purchasing this item that you might end up getting a stain on this costume when you receive it. ... show more
