We got a size small (4-6) for our 3 year old. It works just fine with sleeves and pants rolled up and he's been wearing the whole get up for over 2 hours now. The costume itself is well made with zippered pickets and nice quality graphics. The material is thin and lightweight but doesn't feel cheap. The proton pack is ginormous and I'd say only ok in quality. The gun portion of ours came ripped so we can't blow it up all the way. We also had to poke a screwdriver through the mouthpiece in order to blow up the pack itself because the flap was stuck. All in all not a deal breaker because we planned to get a better quality pack that fit him better. ... show more

My son is 8 and he's fairly tall, one of the tallest kids in his grade - he wears a size 8 or Small/Medium in most pants. After reading reviews, I decided on the Medium - it's the perfect size and he even has a couple of inches to grow if he needs! The material is very flimsy, but the price of the costume is pretty cheap, so it's what I expected. Of course, I'd rather have thicker material but oh well - it's cheap and at least it fits! ... show more

Large says ages 8-10 but when I pulled the costume out from the bag, the overalls were HUGE! and were longer than my average-height 8 year old son from head to toe! It was so huge, I thought they must have put the adult male costume so considered using it myself since the arm and legs appear to be made for someone 5'8". However when I tried it on, it wouldn't slip over my shoulders... so it is probably perfect for teenagers 13-15 years old. I had my tall 11 year old try it on and the arms and legs had to be folded over a few times as it was too long. I'd recommend a Medium, as I tried another brand's Ghostbusters costume and got the Small. It fit my 8 year old perfectly with great comfort but the arms and legs were too short by about an inch and a half. Mediums had to be folded but were not ridiculously large. ... show more

Oh dear. We got Rubie's "female version of Ghostbusters" costume for my daughter and it was so cute with great details that my son ALSO wanted to be a Ghostbuster so we got this one for him. What a disappointment! This is basically a plain jumpsuit. It didn't have any name options like the girls' version with a small Ghostbuster's logo. That could all be over looked if the color wasn't SO WRONG. This jumpsuit is a pale yellow, NOT beige or brown or even tan. In fact, this one looks even more feminine than my daughter's costume. My son didn't mind so it wasn't a huge deal but the difference in quality was pretty dramatic. AND DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE PROTON PACK - huge, didn't fit even with adjustments and deflated quickly because it had a leak. ... show more

My sons wore this for Halloween this year 2016 since they already owned the proton pack toy (that is basically a flashlight). They looked amazing and the choice was perfect for us... 1) it is lightweight which is key in Florida 2) they could wear comfortable clothes underneath without worry that it would be annoying or seen - I had bought them Ghostbusters t-shirts from Walmart to actually wear so that if they did get hot they would still match, 3) the quality was great and could hold up to two active 6 year olds during a school parade and trick-or-treating later at night. I saw no issues with the screenprinting or the seams - everything looked great and they looked great! To complete the outfit (the boys wouldn't wear the goggles) we had one carry a stuffed Stay Puft Marshmallow Man toy and the other carried a stuffed Slimer toy. So cute! very good quality jumpsuit. My kids were actually too small for the suit, but we couldn't find a decent one smaller. Because of that we didn't use the ecto packs. I did blow them up and use them for trunk or treat decorations, and everyone loved them and asked me where I found them. my son wore his costume the entire week leading up to halloween, and because of the material, I was confident in washing it before Halloween. It washed perfectly. The pockets are ACTUAL pockets that really zip (such a find on a halloween costume) and we matched them to khaki belts I got off Amazon as well. As much as my son loves this costume, I am certain he will wear it until it no longer fits. (my son and daughter both got these and are about a 3t. They had rolled sleeves and wore belts, but they looked great still. Were able to wear warm clothes under) ... show more

    • Don’t recommend, poor quality.

The costume did not live up to my expectations. Party City was sold out so I ordered this one so my kiddos could have matching costumes. This costume is more of a buttercream compared to the Party City costume. It just looks yellow. The medium fit my 8yr old and it’s lightweight. The proton backpack is a mess! The straps will need to be tied in order to stay on, otherwise they slide and the entire thing falls off. The deal breaker was the disappointment my son felt when we blew up the inflatable gun. The neck of the gun is thin and literally folds into a triangle with a beat up piece of cardboard insert to make it look full and sturdy (major fail). My 5yr olds costume is so much nicer. ... show more
