My son is 8 and he's fairly tall, one of the tallest kids in his grade - he wears a size 8 or Small/Medium in most pants. After reading reviews, I decided on the Medium - it's the perfect size and he even has a couple of inches to grow if he needs! The material is very flimsy, but the price of the costume is pretty cheap, so it's what I expected. My sons wore this for Halloween this year 2016 since they already owned the proton pack toy (that is basically a flashlight). They looked amazing and the choice was perfect for us... 1) it is lightweight which is key in Florida 2) they could wear comfortable clothes underneath without worry that it would be annoying or seen - I had bought them Ghostbusters t-shirts from Walmart to actually wear so that if they did get hot they would still match, 3) the quality was great and could hold up to two active 6 year olds during a school parade and trick-or-treating later at night. I saw no issues with the screenprinting or the seams - everything looked great and they looked great! To complete the outfit (the boys wouldn't wear the goggles) we had one carry a stuffed Stay Puft Marshmallow Man toy and the other carried a stuffed Slimer toy. So cute! very good quality jumpsuit. My kids were actually too small for the suit, but we couldn't find a decent one smaller. Because of that we didn't use the ecto packs. I did blow them up and use them for trunk or treat decorations, and everyone loved them and asked me where I found them. my son wore his costume the entire week leading up to halloween, and because of the material, I was confident in washing it before Halloween. It washed perfectly. The pockets are ACTUAL pockets that really zip (such a find on a halloween costume) and we matched them to khaki belts I got off Amazon as well. As much as my son loves this costume, I am certain he will wear it until it no longer fits. (my son and daughter both got these and are about a 3t. They had rolled sleeves and wore belts, but they looked great still. Were able to wear warm clothes under) ... show more

Loved this costume! It looked so great on my boy for halloween. The proton pack had a hole in it and we contacted the company and they sent a whole new costume with a new pack. Wonderful customer service. Very light weight. Easily fit sweats under it for the chilly Halloween night. The only thing I would fix would be the waist belt. It was huge for my 4 year old but it was an easy fix! ... show more

I bought this for my 2.5 year old son and he loves it! I struggle to get him to take it off sometimes. With it getting so much wear we have to wash it quite often. Unfortunately after the first wash the ghostbuster print on the chest and arm started to come off. We have started looking for patches as a replacement because the image is almost gone. I'll admit we wash it quite frequently but with the image coming off after the first wash I do believe the quality isn't as great as I'd expect for the higher price point. ... show more

Son wears boys 6/7 and 4 ft tall and this was very big for him. We rolled up the pants and made it work. He will have it to wear for a while. Yes it is thin and I read some reviews and I guess it depends on how rough and destructive the kid is.. He wore to a party and for Halloween and it is fine. Certainly for the price there is nothing to complain about. We even still have the blow up thing, It is fine and survived also. ... show more

The costume was much better than any costume of the same price I had seen in stores. There were minor concerns such as the material being a little transparent, a loose Velcro piece on the gun, and the costume being larger than expected. We simply had him wear a white short and khaki pants underneath which also kept him warm, ignored the loose piece and it didn't come apart, and the belt and black socks to tuck his pants legs into helped the size issue. He also rolled up the sleeves. He's a size 7-8, so for larger boys, this shouldn't matter much. Overall, he got tons of compliments and loved the costume. Warning: adults will delay children during trick-or treating to show others the costume and gush about how much they love it :-) ... show more
