I knew what I’d be getting when I ordered this. Rubie’s costumes are cheap monetarily and quality-wise. (For example, the house crest is silk-screened, not a true patch.) But, I wasn’t too pleased that it didn’t have the clasp as it is pictured, and the packaged was horribly beat up. That said, it’ll be wonderfully lightweight for my son to wear when we visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, there are no holes or tears in the fabric, and I’m grateful they made something other than Gryffindor. 😆 But come on, Rubie’s - at least send us what is pictured. ... show more

I see what the other reviewers meant by cheap quality. However, it's a decent price and it's going to be a Halloween costume for a 12 year old? It looks like a Hufflepuff robe. I got a Hufflepuff scarf and knee socks (which both will be worn again)to complete the look. Saves me from having to buy a shirt and tie which will never be worn again. ... show more

Very cute and well-made except for the buttons (which came off too easily). Probably best to re-inforce with some black thread as ours fell off the first time my daughter wore hers. Otherwise, the costume is very nice. It is lined and the tie that comes with it could be worn separately and is a decently made tie. It is nice to have something from Hufflepuff house since most of the things at the big box stores are for Gryffindor. ... show more

My daughter wanted her house robe for halloween. Found this for her and she loves it. A bit long for her because I ordered it bigger so she will grow with it. Good quality i think.

My son and his friends wanted to dress up as their respective Hogwarts houses, and of course none of the local costume shops had any in stock. Price and fit are fine though i would have liked a little better quality.

    • Great Alternative for a trip to Universal!
We bought these before we went to the Harry Potter world at Universal in Orlando. They were way cheaper than the ones being sold in the park and much lighter (hot summer!). Held up well and still being used at home. Highly recommend this to the over-priced theme park version!

This costume works well for it's intended purpose. The quality is pretty good for this price range, the higher priced costumes are definitely nicer but this is probably the nicest costume you will find in this price range. We have no quality or comfort complaints, although I would not expect it to hold up well for extensive long term use. ... show more
