The costume was wonderful, looked wonderful, only thing that i had to change and when i ordered the costume, i saw this in other reviews, but there was wayy too much stuffing in the hat to stay on her head so i rigged up a strap to go under her face for the night, which worked out fine. Only other thing i would have a compaint about would be in the picture the yard hair looks soo thick and full like there is a whole lot there, but whenever we looked at the bangs only had one thin line across for the bangs and it was just typical yarn. THe costume was amazing though. I would defianatly do somthing like this again. It is only a costume, and I was not trying to win no costume contests, i just simply wanted the cutest kids out trick or treating and thats is exactly what i got with this costume! ... show more

This costume is adorable! It was exactly what I was looking for. The only downside is that it fits pretty snug at the top, so it was hard to layer anything under her, and it gets cold here that time of year! The fabric on the arms is very thin, so you need to be careful not to rip it. The tights aren't included, but we had a similar pair of leg warmers that we used. There is a lot of stuffing in the hat, so it fits a little awkwardly on the head, and we almost added more hair, because of how thin the braids are, but left it as is. ... show more

My daughter is 7 yrs. old and she loved the costume. I did have to do some fixing because the hat was too stuffed and just sat on top of her head so i took some of it out and we braided her hair and attached costume braids from the hat to her braids so it stayed on the whole time. The only bad thing is that she wanted the shoe covers which don't come with the costume and i had to make those. Also, hat had some sort of a yellow stain but it was in the plastic bag so it wasn't during shipping. Well worth it and very cute ... show more

Negatives: Made of very thin material so white top is see through; pretty typical of costumes. After wearing for less than an hour, the red detailing started to unravel which was unfortunate. The seam in the back of the arm also busted before we even went out trick or treating. The "hat" is more like a flat top and the yarn hair wasn't connected in multiple spots. To solve: We stabbed hair clips through the bottom layer of the cap and snapped them to her hair. Seemed to hold up pretty well after doing both sides and the back. Doesn't come with the striped socks...but those are cheap and easy enough to find. Positives: Despite all that, the costume is SO adorable. Stands out from the typical, more common costumes. Stretchy and comfortable! My daughter wears a size 6/7 and it fit great for the indoor halloween parade AND later when we needed to add layers underneath to go outside. ... show more

I bought this costume for my 4 year old daughter to wear on Halloween 2012. This costume includes a dress with an attached apron and red yarn wig, I got the stockings separately. The top part of the dress is shear so a white undershirt is needed. I had to alter the wig a little bit and a couple pieces of yarn came loose but over all this costume was perfect. My daughter got so many compliments and she didn't even want to take it off at the end of the night and she tried to wear it again the next day. It does fit a little snug but my daughter is petite so this costume fit her perfectly otherwise one size larger may be needed. I hope this information was helpful. ... show more

I took a chance I buying the costume after reading the mixed reviews. The dress was pretty cute but not as pictured. The blue color in the dress was not nearly as bright or vibrant as pictured and in fact it had a bit of a tie dyed look (it was not a solid color). And I do have to agree with other reviews in that the hat was pretty awful. The hair was very sparse and feel out pretty easily. It definitely was not near what was pictured and I actually ended up making a yarn wig myself. The final product ended up being adorable but it took some work to make it presentable. My daughter loved it in the end. Some advise: if you are torn between buying a small or a medium, you may want to go up a size. My 5 year old has a slightly bigger than average build and the small fits her but snugly. Also, I didn't buy the matching stockings when I had the chance because I thought I would be able to buy them in any Halloween store. I couldn't find them anywhere so you might just want to spring for them online when you order the costume. ... show more

I bought this for my 21 month old, 21 lb toddler. We wanted to be the Raggeddy Anne and Andy family---and people around us went really wild. They loved it. The dress fit my 21 pound girl pretty big, though...it went all the way to her calves. But she is pretty small anyway. My only complain was the head gear. It was too heavy and too big for her. I ended up using it myself, and she used mine (my headgear was too small, I'm 5'4" 127 pound female adult). Your headgear fit me better than it would her. The heavy cotton inside the hat was too plump for a small toddler. My suggestion is to have a zipper that we can unzip and take out the inside of the hat, in case the buyer does not want it too big and heavy. Since the dress was too big for her, I'm sure she can wear it agin until she's 4 years old. ... show more

I don't understand how the hat works, there is no way to adjust it, it is really frustrating because it is the real appeal of this costume. The dress is okay for the price, but the hat honestly let me down.
