I’ve made quite a few balloon arches before using the photo backdrop rods. I always used curling ribbon and tied balloons together and such. The plastic rings this comes with makes it sooo easy. It is still time consuming but I always had a hard time making other arches have the balloons placed correctly. The plastic rings made it look perfect. the clips are very solid and sturdy, and it comes with a lot of balloon holders which will be enough to use up the whole 12' very easy to assemble, but the connecting rod system making it pretty rigid and hard to bend too much. It works great for a table of 7-8' or so. I tried to bend it for a 5' table to make a real arch, but I feel that the rod is a little too rigid to do that. You maybe able to do that but I was a worried that the connecting rods will fail so I didn't This doesn't come with the balloons and you will need quite a lot of balloons to make it looks nice. ... show more

It’s a tent pole. The brackets that hold the tent pole on the table are great and well made. Easy instructions. The balloon rings are so very helpful.
