The 2 cup measuring cup I received has sharp points and edges on the bottom center, the handle grips and the spout. Since the cup is made of hard plastic (polycarbonate), these points and edges can cut one’s skin. I wouldn’t even be able to place it on my quartz countertop due to the rough bottom surface. I cannot recommend this measuring cup. In addition, I feel it’s deceptive for the company to have “Rubbermaid” in its name because this measuring cup seems very substandard. ... show more

I work on cars and I use this to measure fluids sometimes. I've used and abused the hell out of this thing, sprayed it with degreaser, brake cleaner, transmission fluid, oil, you name it, and this thing is holding up just fine. The markings are still there.
