Must hang dry. I put it in the dryer on medium heat and it shrunk a bit in length. The width of the dress stayed the same. The criss cross straps in the back shrank a bit too, so the size of the cross cross opening has decreased. But for the most part, if you hang it to dry, its fabulous. It's probably the softest piece of clothing I've ever bought. Not entirely a fan of the tiny strappy thong that came with it, but my main focus was a lightweight slightly sexy nightgown, and I got it. I enjoy it a lot. The straps tend to fall off my shoulder if I'm bending down or leaning, but I think that just comes with the lightweight flowy nature of the dress. It's not supposed to be super tight into your shoulders. If I wanted that, I'd prob wear a cami type dress or shirt instead. I may explore other items from this brand.
