The media could not be loaded. I bought mine a while back and didn’t know how to use it so well because as soon as I heard a little spark sound on the wick and saw low flames I got scared about the sparking and gave the box away thinking it wasn’t that great but I kept one for decoration. Today I decided to try this one candle I kept all this time. I snipped the top a bit, the flame is low but it’s a long lasting Candle so I decided to give it a chance to burn in a candle jar and I was not disappointed. It burned all the way down to my amazement, no sparks within the hours as expected. So I went ahead and re-ordered what I consider now to be the one of the best candles for my purpose. What I found out was when I put the candle on a flat pillar stand the flame got taller. I can’t believe I gave my candles away. That’s not happening again. The manufacturer box containing the candles was all apart and the candles were all loose inside a large UPS brown bag. They do not seem to be hurt. I will be using them on 12/15 for our neighborhood luminaries so I cannot review how well they burn yet. Update: The candles burnt very well for our neighborhood luminaries. ... show more

Since these are small candles, the run time of these burning wasn’t too long. But the quality was pretty good. There was no scent at all. Worked for what I needed and very very easy to work with the wick.

As for what I DON'T like, it's only 1 thing: the original box they are packed-in from manufacturer, flimsy as heck. Could have done just as good with a plastic bag. Fortunately, the Amazon box they are shipped in is sturdy, so no biggie. What I DO like is these fit in a typical salt candle perfectly, as would a regular small votive, put fills the depth perfectly to the top of the candle. This means WAY less changing out normal-size votives. There is no scent, no smoke. If you don't let it burn completely, just re-light it again, give it time for the wick to remelt the wax again and the flame will return to normal size within minutes. I see NOTHING wrong with these and give them 2 thumbs up! ... show more

    • Worst candles ever!

I've been using "Mainstays" candles from Walmart and have been happy with them. Sadly, with all of the supply chain issues, I've not been able to buy them locally.... so I ordered these. These are the worst candles I've ever used, and I'm used to Walmart candles! Issues-- 1. These things burn WAY TOO HOT. I put all of my votives in small glass candle holders. After about 30 minutes, the candle is almost fully melted and the glass container is too hot to touch (and too hot to leave on a wood table!). The burn time, if you keep the candle in a glass candle holder, is comparable to the Mainstays. 2. Instead of molding these candles individually with a wick in each mold, these folks are making long candles in a tubular shape, cutting them into votive sizes, poking a hole in the wax and installing a wick. There is no backing sticker to keep the metal tab at the bottom of the wick from falling out... so, straighten the wick out of the box and the wick falls to the floor. 3. While these candles are white-ish, they aren't very white. They're kind of a translucent off-white. The Mainstays candles are much whiter. 4. These are NOT cheap. In fact, each candle costs 10 cents more than the Mainstays, and you can get them in either a 12 or 24 pack. I was able to order the Mainstays candles from Walmart online, and they delivered... so... You're supposed to ENJOY candles. These just piss me off. Returning. ... show more

They are perfect for tea candle holders. I love how long they burn. While I haven't timed it I fully believe these last for 15 hours. They burn clean and sent free. Beautiful red candles. The only critique is that the wicks are just threaded through the hole in the middle so you have to be aware of that when taking them out of the box. It doesn't cause any problems with the candle burning. ... show more
