I have to say a friend helped me but we were able to install the lift kit in 1 hour. My usual project takes 3x in time and 2x in cost, however this was fairly straight forward and Subaru has it dialed in. I love the new lift.

I got a ways into taking car apart and called the 800 number, super helpful people at Rough Country. I used tools recommended and 3 floor jacks. NOTE when lifting a car most jacks will not lift high enough, so a 2 x 12 8 footer cut into 4 x 24 inch lengths to put two under each jack raised car up high enough to get wheels back on and ample room under. Kit was very self explanatory and took me with a break just under 4 hours to do myself. used 3rd jack to lift up lower swing arm once spacers were in place to "bring the holes into alignment" Used my stock wheels and put Falken Wild Peak Trails 225/65/17 on the vehicle and all worked just fine. No rubbing... Second kit from Rough Country and stoked. I called to clarify some of the instructions and they were very helpful on a couple steps where I got stuck. Great kit, great people and solid company. Would buy again any day. I took my time, read the instructions night before and highlighted the TORQUE settings to make sure every step was done right. used a hack saw to cut the bolts instead of a grinder, about 2 minutes of arm cardio for each bolt on rear strut to fit the bolts with room to assemble correctly. Fairly easy install . I wish the instructions could’ve had better images but everything was decently straight forward. I was able to fit 235/75-15 with minor rubbing. I’m experiencing an issue with positive camber on my front drivers side... not sure if it’s from lift or an improper install.

Was going to tackle it at 1st but had my mechanic do it because of the front and rear alignments. Well worth it able to install 2 size bigger tires. Well constructed and finished!

Fast shopping, easy installation, if you mark your camber bolts before removing your alignment will almost be dead on. I took mine to get aligned and it was perfect. The ride is exactly as factory which really impressed me. Definitely would recommend to anyone with a crosstrek. I kept my stock wheels but switched to nitro nomad grappler 215/65/17s no rubbing at all and got 1” more of height. ... show more
