  • Great Reproduction
Color: Olive Drab Size: Large
Great reproduction of Vietnam era 3rd pattern ripstop, Vietnam era jungle fatigues (tropical combat uniform) Correct 1 button back pockets, zipper (not button fly, although they came in both), shoe string cuff ties, size adjustment sliders on each side (the sliders even have to be re-adjusted 50 times a day if your not wearing a belt - just like the originals), the knees and butt are not reinforced (which is period correct) and they even have the secret bandage pocket in the left thigh pocket. The fatigues are even sized overly long (some would say very long) so when bloused at the top of your boot they are very baggy, almost flowy (to break body shape). Incredibly comfortable just like the originals. I would have given them 5 stars for durability, but hey... they're rip stop. Anybody who's worn ripstop in harsh environments has become good at needlework or has a friend who is. ... show more

  • Almost the same, but not.
Color: Olive Drab Size: Medium
I had a pair of these from 98/99 that I picked up from a local military supply shop that were too big for me to wear anymore and was looking for a replacement. After searching the local shops and finding nothing similar and having the shop owners tell me to check with Rothco’s selection I found these. Size is slightly bigger in the waist and crotch than I expected (I’m a 32 waist x 31 leg) and definitely the length of the legs are much longer than my last pair by about 2 inches (34” long based on the garnet tag). I was able to cinch the side adjusters almost fully closed, Amazon suggested a small, but based on the chart I ordered the appropriate size which should be a medium. I don’t know how much they’ll shrink so I’m going to order the small and see how they fit. The fabric for these is thinner than my original pair and will probably not last as long as the ones I had before, which I wore for about twelve years. As others have stated the leg drawstring is not the tight cotton cording anymore but a synthetic shoe string style which stretches too much for my liking. It can almost double in length. Other than the small changes to the design construction is the same. I also had a light khaki pair from around the same time that featured a gusset crotch for mobility. These don’t have that either. Without any better options these should do for most activities. I may get a few pair in case they stop making them and in case they don’t last more than a couple of years. Update: The mediums were way too big and i swapped them out for a small. The small fits much better in the length and waist. Initially a bit tight for me, but after washing and hang drying with a slight stretch to the waist band with a clipped pant hanger, they fit perfectly. Already a lot of compliments and asks of who made, where I bought. ... show more

  • Mixed feelings... mostly good
Color: Olive Drab Size: Large
Mostly I like these quite a bit. The fabric is comfy and feels durable, the adjustment tabs at the side of the waist are handy, and I love the color. I'm not so fond of the drawstring ankles, but that's how a lot of these are, and I can always replace them with an elastic, or just pull them out altogether. I am a little concerned that the knees will wear through, so we'll see. The high waist took some getting used to. I knew it was coming, but it still feels weird. My biggest complaint though is the no-name zipper. High waisted cargo pants = long fly zipper, and I'd really have preferred a YKK zipper. This one doesn't track as smoothly as it should, and I hope that's not a sign of things to come. Otherwise, the pants are great. ... Oh, and while I'm not going to share my exact weight lol I'm almost 5'7" and not as fit as I was 25-30 years ago. I often do better shopping men's pants than women's. If these break in well, and the zipper doesn't self-destruct, and the knees don't wear out, I hope to order a couple more pair sometime this summer. We'll see how they do in the garden first. ... show more

  • Lightweight, Soft, and Comfortable. And cool!
Color: Tiger Stripe Camo Size: Medium
The pants are as others have described, period 1960's design features. They will be perfect for the hot weather but probably not as durable as more modern designs. I can't wait to see how they fade. I have never bought the Tiger Stripe pattern before because it's usually a stiff and unbreathable polyester mixed fabric. I can't wait to wear this 100% Cotton version. Propper and the other companies should consider offering these older camoflage patters with the newer designs. I would love to have ERDL Green and Brown Dominate, maybe even Frogskin in ACU or BDU Ripstop. I ordered the Medium (labeled Medium Regular, I wish they offered Medium Short) I have 30" inseam and they are way too long. I plan to take them and have them altered to fit tomorrow. ... show more

  • The pants are good, but
Color: Olive Drab Size: Large
If you’re gonna get this for a Vietnam kit, don’t, unless you want to dye the pants yourself. The shade of pants is way lighter than an original top, im not sure if it was a product error, but I received mine as a tannish green color

  • Awesome pants!!
Color: Olive Drab Size: Large
The sizing was correct for me. A large is size 35-39 around the waist. I wear a 36 normally so they fit perfectly. The pants have a solid, but comfortable feel to them. They seem very durable. The material is thick enough to not rip easily, yet light enough to not weigh you down or make you overly hot. I work in Afghanistan so this is very important to me. For the price you can't really go wrong with these. I bought a similar style in a store recently that costed $60 and they were nowhere near as durable as these. BTW, these are Rothco "Ultra Zone" brand pants. You can find them elsewhere on the web for around $27, so Amazon is a tad over-priced, but when you factor in the free shipping and the reliability of Amazon you still come out ahead. The seller shipped them almost immediately and I had them by the end of the week. All-around great buy. ... show more
