I really wanted these Vietnam style jungle boots because I used to have them as a kid and loved them.. definitely need to buy a size smaller. I bought a size 10 and then bought a size 9 which I've never done. And it fit great but you will need to buy some insoles because they do not have any in them. I love the look so I will keep this pair. I will not use them for construction type work because my feet would be broken by the end of the day because they are not that comfortable. I would still recommend these if you were just into the style. Good to wear with jeans and a night out to the dive bar!!! Or you could use these out trumping through the mud if you live in the southeast on the coast. They're great because of the two drain holes for water on each boot.

I bought them to have a cheap pair of boots I could abuse on off-trail camping trips. They’ve held up so far, and they can be decent, comfortable boots, but only if you do a few things. First, the smell: good god, these things smell coming out of the box. To get rid of that, chuck them in a bucket, pour some vinegar in, and let them soak for a while. Dump it out, and do it a second time if the smell is still there. Wash them off with water, and let them air out. The vinegar smell will be there for a couple of days, but it’s not half as bad as the factory smell, and will go away. They need some breaking in, too. Mine took a few weeks of hard wear to become comfortable, and now they’re just how I like them. The boots are sized to be worn with very thick socks, so you’ll want to either wear thick hiking socks, two pairs of normal socks, or a set of insoles with these. Do all those things, and these are comfortable boots that stand up to a bit of abuse out in the woods. Are they deluxe boots that will last you the better part of a decade’s hard wear? No. Are they decent footwear for a very low price? Yes, provided you get rid of the smell, use thick socks as was intended when they were designed, or pop in some insoles. Would it be unrealistic to expect much better for the price these come at? Probably.

I have had these boots in the past and was quite happy to see they are still made. For the price they are awesome. They are hardy and durable. It's hard to find shoes/boots that don't fall apart. They are definitely quite weighty but I kind of like that. They are big and they have a presence for sure. Lots of complaints of others in regards to comfort - which I understand. They have some seems and the like on the inside, but I just throw a pair of insoles in and a pair of thick socks and call it a day.

I wear size 13 wide in shoes but had to get 11 wide in these boots. They are good quality and breath well. Very comfortable and durable, although I did put insoles in which made it even better.

Got these a while back for work shoes, and worked them out in about 5-6 months. The tread was about to give out and the seems between the soul and sides was giving out. For their cost however, not bad at all.
