I bought these for use in the living room during meal times/snack times. The handles are really nice and sturdy, making using them super easy. Easily supports stonewear plates and cups and such! Cleaning them is really simple as well, just wipe down the top when you're done. If you need to clean the pillow just snap it apart from the tray with the buttons and give it a wash. These trays are much nicer to use than folding trays. Besides, folding trays take up a lot of space when you're not using them even when you fold them up and put them away. They're awkward to use and can easily get knocked over on accident. Honestly I had no idea these existed until last year when I bought them. It's so much nicer to just have your comfy pillow in your lap with your tray and eat anyway. It has a nicer feel. Cozy. On the other more crafty side. I like to make amigurumi and other yarn creations, and I find having this in my lap makes working on the couch really nice as I can have all my tools organized right there in my lap and not worry about losing tiny stitch markers into the couch or a tiny needle falling out of my case and sticking me later on down the road because it fell onto the couch cushions and bit me in my behind later XD This would also make a lovely laptop work station for people who often fly or like to work sitting up in bed late at night. Or for those late night readers who are maybe reading a heavy thick book that gets to be annoying to hold up when you're tired XD Anyway, It is totally worth the money. Once you get one you honestly will wonder why you didn't know about these sooner. These are super super cute as well. Outstanding product! I love the fact that the table made out of bamboo. It's got handles and it's got a raised edge that comes around the whole thing. I love the attached pillow underneath and the beads that are used. It's the exact amount so it molds to my legs as I'm using it. It's very comfortable for eating my meals in front of the TV. I'm able to do my crafts with it as well. I highly would recommend it. The price was also wonderful compared to other sites that were charging upwards of three times more for the same exact product. Plus I've used TV trays with legs and it makes it better than TV trays cuz it's closer to you and because it does not have legs you don't have the issue you do with standard TV trays where you could accidentally bump the legs and spill your food onto the floor like I've done in the past. Intended as a gift for my Dad (est. 1927), the idea of a tray with a built-in cushion was the perfect birthday gift that I knew was needed and would be used daily. After an exhaustive trawl online, and having read multiple reviews of so many alternative trays that didn’t live up to expectations, I came across this one and not only liked the excellent design, but noticed so many high-rated reviews. I ordered the Rossie Home tray in Acacia Wood. It arrived promptly (sooner than expected) and my Dad is totally delighted with it (telling anyone and everyone how good it is!). It is not only built from a beautifully finished solid wood, it is extremely well made and finished and has some useful design features that genuinely set this tray above the competition imo. It has handles either side, making the tray easy to move/carry. Also, one edge (that faces the user) is reducers in height, meaning it doesn’t get in the way if the tray is being used for dinners, etc. Overall, the tray has a bit of weight to it, but this just gives it stability and the (detachable) cushion moulds very well to the lap and means the tray can be levelled and will hold its position. Yes, it costs more than some of the competition, but ‘you get what you pay for’ and I cannot emphasise enough all the positives that go into making this tray a 10/10 and unequivocally worth buying. ... show more

This is a really nice tray. The beanbag bottom is comfortable, the material doesn't slip, and if you remove the beanbag bottom the snaps don't extend out from the wood tray itself. I frequently use the tray with a trivet to catch condensation or drips, and I can also conveniently store the trivet by slipping it in between the underside of the tray and beanbag top. I'm very pleased with this tray, it looks nice and the handle areas feel good to carry, beanbag bottom seems just right for me too. ... show more

I use this when sitting in a recliner (not reclined) watching TV in an RV, but mainly to put my dinner on or on the seat next to me to hold some art supplies. I do not use it to hold a laptop and it wouldn't work (for me) but I could see perhaps someone else doing that. I may also use it on the opposite side of my bed for books, a CPAP, or who knows what? It has a nice lap pad that can be unsnapped and washed, and this makes a lovely serving tray if you want to use it that way. It has a higher fiddle around the back and sides (with handles) to keep items from falling off and a smaller fiddle in the front.
