Our 4-year old son has been asking for a better night light for a long time now, so we finally broke down and bought one of these. At first, I was looking for something that would project actual star constellations etc. in his room, but I couldn't find anything that impressed me. After looking at a bunch of these projectors and reading reviews, we decided to get this one, the Rosetta Star Projector. Let me say, my son absolutely loves it! It has adjustable brightness settings and really nice, relaxing colors. The green star dots complement the different aurora colors that this projector cycles through, and we were so thrilled with it that we bought a second one for our daughter's room. I also appreciate that it will turn itself off after four hours so I do not need to go back into my sleeping child's room and risk tripping over one of their toys and waking them up again just to turn it off. Update: Rosetta sent me a 3rd and THIS ONE WORKS! It's beautiful, the colors are amazing and intense, and the built in sounds are louder than expected. The options to customize the experience are plentiful! So soothing! Just make sure the remote is putting directly at the machine. Rosetta really cared about my satisfaction, which I was not expecting at all after 2 failures so I will definitely use them again! I hear they have a Dino egg projector that I must now find! Original: I ordered it once, it arrived Thursday, I tried it out on Friday but it would not turn on. I called Amazon, they sent a replacement, and that arrived today, Saturday. I immediately plugged it in and it turned on. I turned it off and pressed the power button again and it will not turn back on. The remote isn't working. I've tried unplugging and replugging it in, I've tried Reseating the remote battery, I've tried using other plugs and cords... nothing. So it worked for 3 seconds and now it's dead. Worthless. I was so excited bc it looked so pretty for the two seconds it was on. So after an initial purchase and a replacement in 48 hours, do I get ANOTHER replacement or give up?? ... show more

I have bought a lot of these before and I can say that this one is the best value for money! The only thing I have to gripe with is that you need a central area in the room to place the device in order to get the effect that you see in the product pictures. If you put it in a corner, it will still light up the majority of the room but it will be focused on that corner and won't look very appealing. You can angle it towards the upper center if you don't have a central space to place it, but it doesn't come with anything to prop it up so you need to get creative ( I used sticky velcro to attach to wall and angle it). I actually have two of these after having just one for months— I finally ordered a second to put in my bedroom which shows how much I like it. The red and blue settings together are so pretty and relaxing— I leave these on as nightlights until I fall asleep and they are PERFECT for that. Keep in mind there is a 4 hour timer and you have to turn it back on after that. Also, the Bluetooth speaker works and is okay but not of the highest quality. It works and I use mine to listen to audiobooks when cooking but don’t expect JBL or Beats speaker quality. So far, have had the one since January and haven’t had any issues with it and the new one is working great too! Definitely a good buy especially if you wait until they go on sale (they often do). ... show more

My daughter is 4 and has gone thru several projectors. The bulbs normally burn out. This one has lasted by far longer than anything. Great quality, she lives making a rainbow with the lights. We lost the remote and I reached out to customer service to see if I could purchase a replacement. They sent me one free or charge and didn't even ask for this review. I'm so excited to have found this Aurora Projector with lasers. I like how it doesn't spin and looks like what Aurora lights would look like in real life. I also like how you can adjust the brightness of the lights and change the colors with the remote control. I love love love the color combinations and how the laser transitions smoothly. The only cons are that the Bluetooth speaker is not that great, but comes in handy in a pinch! Also, if you lose the remote control, I'm not sure how customizable it would be to use. Also, I have to prop the projector against something for it to point upwards at the right angle I want. I really wish that this was more adjustable. Overall, this really fulfills what I was looking for. I'm really glad I found this projector. It comes in helpful when I'm getting my medical treatments because it helps me relax. ... show more
