So, I originally purchased a different pair of roper patriot boots for my 5 year old son (size 1) and I received 1 of the shoes I ordered and 1 of these (both right boots) so I obviously had to return what I received... but my son liked these better because they light up! So I ordered a pair of these instead. They light up red, white, and blue! Very cute and patriotic! For those complaining about the description not stating that they light up... it does, see attached photo! Also, it does not state in the description that they are zip-up. However, if you read the questions and answers, you can find which sizes have zippers and which don't. It's really sad to see some parents give bad reviews because they didn't take the time to read the description or the Q&As.

If I could give zero stars I would... the product itself is NOT bad. They appear to be well made and are very cute. The problem is that there was no mention of them lighting up in the description AND it says they are a zipper closure when they are not. Extremely disappointed by both of these issues. I bought these for a gift from Santa... I was shocked when my husband mentioned they light up. "Santa" would have liked to return them for a pair of standard, non light up, zipper closure boots but my 3year old was beside himself with excitement and couldn't wait to wear them to Christmas. Again, nothing against the product itself but the seller needs to resolve this issue. Extremely disappointed and frustrated over this purchase. Please, Amazon, fix this wrong because I hate for another parent to have to endure light up boots unknowingly for who knows how many months....

These boots are cute and good quality but they definitely run a little small. Normally my toddler wears a 4 in shoes so I bought a size 5 thinking he would have room to grow. Sadly, the size 5 barely fits him. Because I bought on size up I removed the tags before having him try them on so I can't exchange them. They are so cute and great quality, I just wish I knew to order 2 sizes up.

Bought these boots for my 2 yr old Grandson that loves shoes. He crazy loves them especially that the heels lights up when he walks. Only thing that I would change is to have the heel light up all around the sides and back. The heels only lights up on the outerside of each boot. On the right boot it's the outer rightside that lights up and on the left boot it is the outer leftside. Boot is still a big hit and my Grandson looks so cute and patriotic in them!

The boots themselves are nice for an older child in a bigger size. I searched high and low for a boot with a zipper. I paid much more for these because they were advertised as having one. THESE DO NOT. I could have gotten another pair at half the price, but I needed a zipper and was led to believe these had one. Not happy. My 3 yr old cannot get these on by himself! And it's a workout trying to get them on him together. Why do cowboy boot makers expect little ones this small to be able to get these on without zippers? Does anyone make bigger toddler sizes WITH a zipper?

PERFECT! Beyond amazing. My son has pretty chunky and wide feet and flat feet so I was worried about the fit for sure and his comfort but he loved them and so do I. Tons of compliments and they really just made his birthday outfit. I’m hoping to get at least a few months of use out these before probably purchasing another pair in the next size. We shall see how these go.

My son really loves these boots. He had been asking for light up shoes. So when I saw these I ordered them. The boots themselves are nice but the lights only lasted for about a week in one boot and 2-3 weeks in the other boot. They are still cute and he says comfortable.

Ordered these for my special needs 9 year old, he loved the lights on the american flag boots. Unfortunately within the first two weeks one set of lights had completely fallen apart into the boots, and at this point (two months after buying these) neither set of lights works. 2 of the 3 pair of Roper Boots we purchased have been defective, i would not recommend them. The quality of these boots is worth probably 20 at best.
