These boots were perfect for my 11 yr old. He just got into a “cowboy” stage and I did not want to spend $100+ on a pair of boots. They are not stiff, very soft, so very comfortable and easy to put on. Great starter pair!

I am very disappointed with these boots. I gave them to my grandsons for Christmas and the outside looks terrible. They haven't been worn but a couple of times. and they look awful, like they are ten years old already. I do not recommend these boots.

This may be ok for a kid to wear on a pony ride. But they will not last one week of any real wear. They look nice if you don't care about function at all.
