The drip molding strip on the roof my 2012 Tacoma had threaded inserts beneath it for installation of the factory roof rack. I installed a homemade rack that screwed into them and was nice and solid. However, and the bolts for that went through the strip. Now I have removed the rack, and replacing the strip seems like a good idea. I have not finished the job, but this item looks just like the original one, the same length, etc, so replacement of mine with holes should be simple. If you are thinking of doing a rack, this restores things if you change your mind., of if something has happened to the original strip. ... show more

I’m thoroughly impressed with the high quality and durability of this roof drip molding. It is super strong and sturdy. I’d dare to say that it may be higher quality than the original roof drip molding trim. It clips right in place in the roof grooves of my 2008 Toyota Tacoma and it comes with adhesive already applied to the end of the molding that fits into the groove above the rear window. Great buy.
