I’ve read through all these reviews before buying these for my learning 12yr old. Materials are good, wheels are smooth, however, NOT true to size! He’s a solid 8 in men, which is what I ordered. recieved the skates as they look in the pic , the feel is comfortable and there is some cushioning inside. If you are just coming back to skate after a long hiatus like me. ( Im old school used to skate a lot when I was a kid and into my 20s on field trips with the kids I worked with.) I know what skate wheels should feel and look like. these ones are like toy wheels or wheels for kids and do not allow for fluid movement. I will be looking for actual skate wheels and see if my local roller rink can install them for me or just learn on youtube how to install them myself but the wheels basically suck. out side of that they are standard roller skates which are better than the skates you would rent and risk foot fungus so ... yah that's my review. of these. ill update after I break them in I ended up returning the skates and went to a vendor of real roller skates that actually ship with the correct skating wheels already installed. That would be my advice unless you know who your buying from online it's better to get your quad skates from an reputable online roller skate vendor ... show more

I wear and order a women's size 12. It fits great with room to wear socks. I got the black skates with the lighted wheels. I ordered a women's size 9 for my niece that wears a size 8 in shoes. She got the purple (they actually lavender/lilac in color). She said wise call - they are comfortable, and she loves them. I ordered a third pair for another niece, the black skates with the colorful words on them. She wears a women's size 7 and I got her the size 8. She loves them too and the fit is great!
