Lets talk about price point first... Price is how do you say LEGIT! Go to your local wally mark or Targ and look at what they have its junk compared to these.. my son loves em.. i re lubed bearings and they roll smooth and fast.. rubber style wheels not hard plastic. Nice adjustable boot and a stylish look. Wish skates were like this when I was a kid. Overall 9/10 cant put my finger on it but i know nothings perfect so 9/10 son wears a youth 2 and he states they fit good and dont bother him to wear for long periods. Highly recommend these. *UPDATE* 06/19/19 My son has almost outgrown these and they are still holding up very well. I will donate them soon as they are still in top shape. I bought these Roller Derby inline skates for my 9-year old son's birthday. He is able to get them on and off without help. They fit well adjusted to size 2, which is his tennis shoe size. The wheels roll really smoothly. He loves them and has probably spent around 15 hours skating so far. I have noticed some wear to the wheels already. My daughter's Bladerunner brand wheels appear to be more durable as she has used them for a year with less noticeable wear to the wheels. The Bladerunners were $65, as opposed to the $40 I payed for the Roller Derby brand. So overall, I'm happy with this purchase for the price. ... show more

These were the exact same roller blades that my son used at the local skating rink. They were great so we decided to order him a pair the same day. These arrived missing a bolt for the back wheel. Looked okay, but as soon as he put them on, the back wheel fell off. My husband was able to put a bolt into the wheel so he can use them. But I’m definitely disappointed. ***Update*** I contacted the roller derby company about this issue and they sent me a new pair. They lasted longer than the first pair but unfortunately they had the exact same problem a few weeks later. I bought a red pair and orange pair for my ogher children and they have held up this entire time. These green ones seem to be made differently. Not made as well as the others. Bummer. Three weeks of only weekend use and one rollerblade broke! Completely unacceptable. I feel they should be way better quality for the price. I do not recommend these to anyone. Got these for my 8 year old (she's small for her age) that loves the color green. :) She loves them and I am very happy with them. They are good quality, easy to get on and off, sturdy buckles, the wheels are smooth, and the rollerblades are easily adjustable. I really love that they are adjustable, so they truly do fit a wide range of shoe sizes - the foot of the rollerblades is expandable, so they can be bigger or smaller. My son broke his old skates. I wanted something economical but sturdy. I decided on this one. The design is awesome and looks so cool. Color is bright. It adjusts easily and is sturdy but not heavy. I thought I might have had to return it at first because they looked small and were tight on the feet. That's when my little kid told me to read the directions! Yes read and be enlightened! I figured out how to lengthen the boot size, problem solved! Then I realized that these skates actually fit the range of sizes the product states making it a good bargain in the long run because they will fit growing feet! Great product so far! ... show more

I gave these to my little guy for his 8 year old birthday. Now that the snow has been melting he has been able to get out a bit and give them a whirl. He is a very brand new beginner and has WIPED OUT more times than I can count. These roller blades have taken a beating...but are holding up well in the 2 times he's been out. He keeps getting up and trying again so I am assuming he likes them. The colors (black and green) are really nice. I love that you can adjust these to grow with your child. So perfect! ... show more

    • Brake pad wore down in 2 months...

The skates themselves fit well and love that the skates are adjustable for four sizes. So far, the wheels and boot appear sturdy, but the brake pad has already wore away down to the bolt - my twins don't brake unnecessarily but it's already gone and we can't use them safely anymore... My twins had another pair of blades that lasted three years (by a different brand) and we never once had to replace the brake pads on those, in fact, we're able to save them for reuse by our youngest daughter. Sadly, I cannot recommend these skates because once the brake pad is gone, they cannot be used safely. If the company wants to send me two replacement brake pads (since I bought two pairs for my twins), I'd be happy to give it another go, and will update my review accordingly. ... show more
