Description

ORACAL 631 is the industry standard in high performance, short to medium term calandered vinyl. This intermediate-term vinyl features solvent-based adhesive and is ideally suited for outdoor or indoor applications. ORACAL is heavier than average wrapping vinyls, making this material easier to work with and handle while conveying greater scratch and abrasion resistance. This film is able to last for 1-5 years. Perfect for floor graphics, wall murals, and outdoor displays.

I love oracal vinyl. I used this roll to create a checkered accent wall to avoid trying to keep straight paint lines. Me & painter’s tape don’t get along. It was a pain to line up but that’s not the vinyl’s fault. It was easy to peel up and move around as needed! Been up for a few days with no issues. Make sure that if you’re applying to a painted wall, you remove as much texture as possible. Again, this is a user’s error but I do have a little bit of bubbling. I love this vinyl! ... show more

I use this to make stencils for wood burning gel and it works well. It cuts fine and is easy to remove. My favorite things to make are very intricate designs and this cuts well enough to do that.

Great to work with, no issues cutting or weeding. However, they are stuck on my windows pretty good and I'm not sure removal with be easy.... at least not easy enough to salvage my designs. I bought on the recommendation of using for window cling but I could have been mistaken. Either way, they look great to me. ... show more

I bought two types of vinyl (631 and 651) for an art project, and I was very pleased with the quality. 631 is removable and 651 is permanent. The rolls looked exactly the same, but there was a noticeable difference in the adhesive strength between 631 and 651. Some takeaways from my experience: 1) 631 is much easier to remove and reposition on your art surface than 651. However, keep in mind that it still might be difficult to pick up and reposition thin/delicate shapes after the vinyl has been placed. It might be more doable on a ceramic surface, but for my particular project, I was cutting out vinyl letters to place onto paper and acetate. When I made a mistake, I could peel off the letters, but when the font was too thin or elaborate, the vinyl could warp and stretch out upon removal -- I couldn't reuse most of my vinyl letters. 2) This vinyl cuts like butter! I was cutting the vinyl by hand with an x-acto blade. I didn't have to apply much pressure at all to cut out shapes and the wax paper backing is strong enough to hold enough most of the time. ... show more
