I like the quality, color and shape of this shelving unit / bookcase. I think 4 shelves was perfect for our space, and I liked that it's not too tall. We needed something to fill the negative space next to our kitchen cabinets. We were able to put this together in about an hour - the instructions were easy to follow because every piece is numbered. We did have to flip the one metal side around after it was almost done - but it wasn't too difficult to re-do it. It's nice to have the leveling feet as well. We didn't need the wall anchor, but we did add the cross bar in the back for additional support. Each shelf is perfectly level, so the craftmanship was 5 stars. All the holes lined up perfectly and all the hardware and tools were provided. The most difficult part will be decorating it. ... show more

Built it the same day it came in and very happy with it. The 4-tier is the perfect height for us based on the surrounding furniture pieces. All the dimensions were spot on and the virtual “See in your space” feature that Amazon does was actually very close to accurate. This is obviously not solid wood and a future family heirloom piece but for the price and quality of what you’re getting, I’d highly recommend and would purchase again if we have desire for another one. ... show more

Overall, I was pleased with the way this turned out. The shelves actually look quite nice and are sturdy enough for smaller items. Putting everything together wasn’t that bad especially if you use a drill with hex key attachments.

This is my second review after assembling and changed from one star to five star. I like the looks and sturdiness of the bookshelves. They have a strap to attach to the wall so it won't tip. The materials DID include a second Allen wrench, and this one has the star tip on it needed for the shelves. The directions do not indicate when to use each Allen wrench, so we kept using the first Allen wrench used for legs for the shelves and that doesn't work. The directions do a good job of explaining what pieces to use for each piece; if they added a picture of the 2 different Allen wrenches on the section of directions next to the pictures of the pieces needed it would have helped.
