Easy to use, right out of the box. It’s extremely lightweight making it ideal for travel. It has a built-in mic, if you’re really going for budget, however if you turn the mic gain up, you will hear yourself hitting every button on the device during recording or broadcast. Without a doubt, it’s intended for use with an external mic to the XLR input. It’s very easy to set up to iPhones and iPads, within 3 minutes I was already editing the photos and text screens and test the device to record to my phone.     • Great product but does have drawbacks.
It’s actually a pretty decent product. Easy to use. I use it with an iPad Pro as the main and an iPhone 7+ as a satellite, only reason why I don’t give it a 5 is that it has a tendency to kick me off, rather annoying. Not that FB kicks me out but the system crashes. Not sure if it’s a firmware issue or what but if they get that fixed, I’d give it a 5 star. I will say that the sound is pretty damn good for what it is. I DJ live for FB and Twitch, it took me about 3 tries to get the volume just right where it didn’t clip or distort. ... show more

    • A piece of junk
This product is a complete piece of junk, and was a waste of my time..., it seemed like I'm dealing with something from 1999... 1. App not supported in many devices 2. App is extremely user unfriendly 3. App response is slow, sometimes wait for minutes for it to respond 4. Once in-device recording was used, couldn't go back to live cast 5. livecast to FB/YouTube didn't work 6. Return to in-device recording mode, didn't start recording 8. No error message displayed when used in-appropriately I could go on, but that's enough... ... show more

I was really looking forward to using this product. But, there is no working app for the latest Android devices. I wish that was made clear.

I bought this mainly to do Livecasting during quarantine. I like the video features such as switching to a video or picture. But I wish it had more than the one XLR input. Overall, I’m pleased with the product.

    • Disapointing Sound Quality
Probably works ok for vocals or a podcasts. The mono sound was a deal breaker for me and my live music videocast. It was disapointing to hear what my broadcast sounded like, especially since it was made by Roland. Sent it back and paid big money for a Sling Studio instead.

    • Good Product!
First off this did not work with my iPhone XR, it ran the app could see the pic but would not go live. BUT it works flawlessly with my iPad. I run my sound directly from the soundboard control room output to the GoLive Cast iPod/instrument input no issues there. leave volume on the GoLive all the way up and adjust accordingly from the soundboard, using Headphones to hear what is being fed into the GoLive from the Headphone output on the Golive helps and i would recommend it. I use my iPhone XR as the Second Satellite camera and have not experienced any issues of app crashing as of yet just make sure your devices are off of autolock or Energy mode and you should be good, Picture quality on the second camera is good in my opinion. To create flyers I use CANVA & piZap and just save to my Photos/files and upload from their. for videos I use iMovie and do the same save into my Photos/files and upload from there. One complaint is you can only use music you have stored on your device and cannot run Spotify/Pandora. Also you CANNOT create a playlist of songs to have playing and repeat in the background of your pic/flyer. You can only pick one song and that will repeat over and over did not like that! But we run laptops into the soundboard to play worship through Spotify during prayer, so keep in mind whatever u play into the board will feed into the GoLive. unless you turn down the input/output volume. Hopes this helps any questions or comments that may help please feel free or if i can be of help just comment below.
