I love how easy these were to set into places where mice might attempt to make a home. Their scent is not overwhelming to us but it certainly is for the mice. I will continue to stock these in my motorhome.

If you have a problem with rats climbing into the car, please use this product, it will work, so far I have not seen any rats near my truck

I have a chipmunk that likes to climb up from my wheel well, sit on my car hood and mock my (indoor) cat. Since the cat won't agree to only go after chipmunks and stay away from birds, I needed a different tool against this obnoxious little creature. Peppermint essential oil works but gets washed away every time it rains, so I picked this up figuring it would be a little longer lasting. It is strong smelling and somewhat protected by the metal container, so it should work once I figure out where to stick it. Here are my concerns: 1. it is installed using adhesive, which I'd rather not do to my car, even under the hood. I may try the wheel well because if it falls off there it will just get run over and not get into my engine. 2. It might be refillable but I couldn't find refill pads for this and am not sure I have the right combination of materials to make them myself (cotton balls would degrade too quickly). It seems really expensive for what you get, especially if these are meant to be completely thrown out and replaced every month or so. 3. No matter what the photos would imply, it doesn't seem to clean the dishes. If it did, it would be well worth the cost.

I have an issue with Mud Wasps building their nests in my motor home. One of the online home remedies for chasing the pests is the smell of peppermint. When I find a product that advertises a pest chaser that is peppermint I request it. I have had disappointments with products that advertise peppermint and actually have none when I received Rodent Repellent the sent of peppermint is so strong it was coming through the Amazon shipping box the product was in. As advertised in the Amazon product pictures the product comes in 2 individual metal cases to be placed where the pests show up. The product also came with two 3M brand double back sticky tape so you can stick the canister anywhere it is needed. The canisters were covered in clear plastic wrap to keep the product fresh but since mud wasp season has not arrived yet to keep the product fresh I plastic double wrapped the containers. Now just to clarify the, reading the product ingredients it contains 27% peppermint oil, 5% wintergreen oil and 3% carragreenan. I will update this review when I see Mud Wasp activity.

We live in a 100 year old house without a garage so our vehicles are parked out front at the mercy of variable Colorado weather and chewing rodents. I have a Honda CRV and little did I know that rodents love to chew the wiring because the coating is soy based. Not once, but TWICE in 2022 during an exceptionally cold winter, I had expensive $450 repairs to replace wiring chewed by rodents. The last round was a rabbit who chewed the power steering wires. (Ca-ching!) Since then I've been spraying the engine compartment with a mix of peppermint oil and water, and had no wire-chewing incidents. I get lazy about re-applying the spray so I am looking forward to using this product. It's really a brilliant concept. I wish there were more thorough instructions about WHERE to place it in the engine compartment. I don't want to be on a road trip and have the little cannister come loose and wreak havoc on my car engine. I also wonder if the cannister can be reloaded with my own peppermint oil mix when it becomes ineffective. I love that the product has no harmful pesticides or chemicals. I hate the damage these critters can do, but I don't want to kill them - I just want them to leave my car alone. Thank you!

The Rodent Repellent for Car Engines (2 pack) is a great, natural, way to keep rodents away. I have a motorhome, and when it's always in the same place (driving very little, if at all), it can be difficult to keep the rodents (mice, rats) from nesting in the engine, and chewing through the wires. I don't want to use any type of poison (I don't want to kill them), I just want to keep them away, and for them to stay away. I saw this rodent repellent, and thought I'd give it a try. It's really easy to use too, they are like small hockey pucks, with adhesive on one side, so I can just stick them under the motorhome, in the engine, and wherever else. I spread them out by placing one in the engine, and one under the rear of the motorhome. It's also environmentally friendly, only using natural essential oils to keep the rodents away. They don't like the smell, so they stay away. So far, they have been working great. I am happy to be using something that isn't in any way harmful. These are an awesome, and affordable, way to keep rodents away naturally.
