This is the best snake boot anywhere!!! I bought my first pair 7 years ago and it was time to buy another pair so I bought it a size larger so I can put a nice thick sole insert inside of it for arch support. It worked perfectly. This boot is comfortable to walk in even in hilly terrain. I have a bunion so I got the wide width and it’s perfect… no pain. This boot is not waterproof, but that is OK with me. It’s worth the $$. I am on my second pair of these boots. The first pair had a slight defect in the toe so I returned it. This second pair seems to fit very well. I've walked around a bit with them to "break them in". Seems to be going well. I normally wear a size 12 and I ordered a size 12. Seems to be true to size and maybe slightly roomy. I have average size calfs and these boots lace all the way closed, no more room to make tighter, and they are probably just a little roomy in the calf yet. I wish I had some more ability to tighten further. Good enough though. There is pair of lacing eyes that I have never seen before. They are at the instep of each boot and very irregular in shape. I can see the eyes are meant to capture and lock in the shoe lace but they are not very easy or straightforward to use. Maybe over time I'll figure them out better. The boots do seem to be waterproof but as others have said about waterproof boots, sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you get wet feet. The cordura nyon that most of the boot is made of captures and holds water between the threading but then sheds it once you get out of the water. Kind of interesting. I wondered where the big puddle of water came from after I tried them in water and discovered it came from the cordura. Time to clean up the floor..... I would buy these again. I plan on using them for portaging in Quetico in a few months. I know, different than most canoers but a friend I know swears by snake boots for the Boundary Waters and Quetico. My third pair over the years. I find these to be very comfortable as I hike the Texas Hill Country hunting Spring Turkeys. Plenty of movement allowed at the ankle. Decent camo pattern. Good tread.

I ordered these to replace the same boots that I waited so long to receive as they were out of stock during the pandemic. I am in these boots 8-10 hours a day here on my property. I appreciate the comfort and they are waterproof unless you dunk them in water but that maybe just because my old ones are wearing out a bit. These are listed as Mens - I wear a size 9 women's and the men's size 7 fit perfectly. Appreciate the camo it matches my Kubota RTV's - all good! ... show more
