My husband's work requires him to be on his feet most of the day. Rocky terrain, walking up steep hills.. He loves these shoes. He replaces the inner sole with his orthodox.. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was because of the shoe rubbing his back heel, which could be caused from a thinner sock or maybe just being a new shoe.. As a general rule, I try not to buy anything that I wear online because sizes are always not as expected and the product always looks different than in the pictures, especially when worn on the body. I was recently in the market for a comfortable pair of leather shoes that I can put on, walk to the office, and wear all day. After looking and not finding anything in the mall stores, I decided to make an exception and shop online and found these Rockports. Good brand, nice picture, so I bought a pair, size 7.5 wide. The shoes arrived within 2 days. First impressions: these are not the same shoes as shown in the ad, the "leather upper" is cheap pleather at best. The color and texture too uniform to be genuine leather and even the shape of the upper screams molded plastic. The shoes are very lightweight, also a sign that they are not leather and are cheaply constructed. The sole is soft rubber which I am afraid will split in half after a little bit of wear. Honestly, if these shoes were accurately advertised as pleather, and sold for $40 or less, I might keep them, but at close to $80, that's a big NO. ... show more
