I have had 3 pairs of these shoes. I wear them almost every day and they last about one year. That may not sound like a long time, but I wear them 90% of the time almost every day. The construction holds up, the only thing that wears is the tread becomes smooth and slippery after a full year. I enjoy them so much, this will be my 4th pair of brown shoes. I also have black, but do not wear the black ones as often so they have lasted 3 years and still going.

These are comfortable, but the soles wear too fast. I wore them 2 months and the soles showed major wear. They may be perfect for someone who stays on carpeted floors, but not concrete.

Slip on and off easily, size 12 foot (mine) , fit like a 12 { the box says US 12 EUR 46.5 ) -- this is true to bicycling shoe mnf.'s data for conversion between US and European shoe size equivalency tables . Room enough in the toe box, don't slip on my heel. 61 years of age I had an opinion. Tread is grippy and patterned enough.

Rockport is a great company, and I've been quite happy with them in the past - not cheap, but excellent. However, this kind of shoes did not work for me - I found them hard, almost wooden, and could not really wear them. That's why I returned them.
