Nice, well made leather sandal. Very comfortable as well. However, The sole is terrible unless you like plastic, slippery no-grip soles on a leather sandal that would be an excellent addition to any shoe collection and would be rated 5-Stars if not for the cheap, plastic sole. What a terrible idea to add to an otherwise great sandal. I can not recommend them and I am returning both pair. I love Rockport Hiking Boots and I thought I would love these. ... show more

Ok the last pair of these fishing shoes I bought my husband was about 15 years ago and they finally started to look worn. My husband absolutely loves these shoes. When he tried they on he said I don't want to take them off. He said it was like walking on air. He does wear these to the coast fishing they were wet everyday for 3 days and dried well. No cutting or scratching on his skin. The size was a great fit as most other brands. He's 71 now and comfort means everything. He has always loved Rockport. He didn't know I ordered them so when they came he was so happy. I told him he could throw his old pair away now and he said no I'll use them to do odd jobs around the house so I don't ruin my new ones. These shoes are well made and worth every penny well double every penny because I did get them almost half peice. I did choose the darker brown just because that's the color of his old ones and the color hadn't really changed from the 2 pair. I ended up being the hero last week for getting these. ... show more

I normally wear a 8.5 mens, and this 8.5 was FAR too small. Fortunately the return was easy. The sandal seems to be well-made and looks good, and I think I may try ordering a 9.5 and see if it fits. Added: I returned this through Amazon (and I have to say it was very easy to do so) and reordered the 9.5, skipping a size 9. I got the new sandals quickly, and the 9.5 are snug but very comfortable. As other reviewers have noted, I have to take the velcro back strap off to get the sandals on, but once on these are VERY nice - a soft insole that cushions the foot well, and I think they'll be durable. I just can't believe that the size is so far off from other shoes that I've owned. ... show more

I tried several closed toe sandals before finding this one. The size fits very well. The memory foam soles embrace the feet unlike other sandals I have tried. It gives a nice feeling of cushioning.
