I got these at a deep discount on Prome Day. Overall they're pretty darn good. They are well made, sturdy, and good looking. They are a just little short and if I ordered them again I'd go up a half size. I think with the open design and adjustable strap I should be fine. I just bought my third pair of these sandals for good reason. They're the best looking sandals I've ever had and are well made, durable, and very comfortable if you choose the correct size - I get a 1/2 size smaller than normal but others may find their regular size fine or may want a half size larger. I spend four months over the winter in warm countries so I wear them daily almost year round except for a few weeks in the spring and late October through November. I don't like wearing socks and lace up footwear. The only problem I experience is the velcro on the straps eventually wears out but that's expected given my heavy use. I get it cheaply replaced at a repair shop and they're good for many more months. My suggestion is ignore the negative comments about quality, the sole, etc. and get them. I just hope Rockport doesn't discontinue this style. ... show more

Ok the last pair of these fishing shoes I bought my husband was about 15 years ago and they finally started to look worn. My husband absolutely loves these shoes. When he tried they on he said I don't want to take them off. He said it was like walking on air. He does wear these to the coast fishing they were wet everyday for 3 days and dried well. No cutting or scratching on his skin. The size was a great fit as most other brands. He's 71 now and comfort means everything. He has always loved Rockport. He didn't know I ordered them so when they came he was so happy. I told him he could throw his old pair away now and he said no I'll use them to do odd jobs around the house so I don't ruin my new ones. These shoes are well made and worth every penny well double every penny because I did get them almost half peice. I did choose the darker brown just because that's the color of his old ones and the color hadn't really changed from the 2 pair. I ended up being the hero last week for getting these. ... show more

There was grease all over the shoe paper, and the shoes didn't have any tags. Amazon should at least tell you if you're getting a returned item, then offer a discount! Guess Bezos can't afford that.... Cons: Ordered the dark brown and it comes across as almost black. The straps covering the top and across the center of the foot are very tight, but I think they may stretch out. I'd say they run a size too small. Glad I got the wide width, or they wouldn't fit at all! Pros: Super comfy and squishy footbed!. I can see these being comfortable for all day wear once the tops stretch. As other reviews mentioned, they are pretty slippery on hard surfaces, so keep that in mind if you're on sidewalks or caught in the rain! Overall, a good shoe. For fifty bucks I'll keep them bc of that soft footbed! ... show more
