Description

Create a subdued rugged look that can be extremely versatile with the style and practicality of these Rockport boots. Waterproof leather upper with a hand-burnished finish and tonal topstitching. Hydro-Shield construction such as waterproof leather, sealed seams, a waterproof insole and a gusseted tongue provide a dry environment during wet conditions. Traditional lace-up closure allows for a secure and adjustable fit. Padded tongue and collar provide additional cushioning. Quick-drying mesh lining and a polyurethane footbed that is cushioned for all-day support. Features adiPRENE by adidas sport technology in the heel for shock absorption. Slip-Resistant TPR rubber traction outsole. Imported. I average around 8 miles per day at work. All concrete. I've been buying these Rockport boots for around 8 years. I love them. They athletic insole system (designed by Adid_s) is awesome. You can literally play a game of pick-up ball in these. I have. They are literally more comfortable than NEARLY ALL of my high-end athletic shoes. You know those high-end workbooks that cost around $200/pr these days? These are more comfortable and last just as long. The outsole isnt identified as slip resistant, but I have found them to be better than most boots. BTW, I keep all my boots when they get retired from work. They are great around the homestead and still very comfortable outdoor work. I also keep a pair for "nice" wear when it's cold, snowy, or even rainy. Yeah, they're that comfortable and good looking. I'll wear them to church without a second thought. Thank you, Rockport, for bringing back this original boot! The fit is perfect. I shopped carefully for this pair of work boots, reading reviews for my preferred features (round natural toe, wide enough to insert custom insoles, lightweight, waterproof, short top, clean smooth surface that wouldn’t collect dust, moderate sole that would allow comfortable walking) and this boot fits those wants better than any pair I’ve ever had. I am on my feet 12-14 hours a day walking construction sites as an inspector and my feet ache with heavy-soled boots but hikers collect too much dust. I wasn’t too worried about other people’s reviews that mentioned wearing out quickly because I clean and oil my boots regularly (dirt tears boots up fast when left in the seams) though I wondered how the soles would hold up. They’re doing great. I was a little concerned at first because they were stiff at the ankle and made my ankles hurt for a couple of weeks before they softened up. That was a surprise because reviews had said that the padding was comfortable. It wasn’t at first. I don’t lace the top eyelet and they feel great now that they’re softened. I walked through standing water all day one day and they only leaked around the tongue when they were submerged 4-5 inches. Amazing waterproofing. Could not be more pleased. Will definitely replace with the same boots when they do wear out. These are now my go-to summer boots. Note: they do run a tad wide. Works for me because I pull the insole and put memory foam soles inside. And I think they would not work so well for winter boots. 1-year update: I just finished Shoe-Gooing these boots because other than the soles separating from the uppers, they’re in top-notch condition. I wore them through the winter with thick wool socks and a thinner insole and they worked great. I’ve gone through three pairs of insoles and many pairs of shoe laces but the shoes just keep on going. Couldn’t recommend them more. ... show more

I love these boots, I work in security and walk and stand alot, I was getting only tactical boots but of course they're heavy and in certain aspects of Security you need something like that but where I've been posted I do mostly walking and standing and for that you'd love to have boots like these, they are very light and alot more comfortable than other boots and hey! they look goo too, you can polish them up if you want, but in any work or anyone that walks alot and wears boots these are the boots to have with you, I really love em and will be buying a couple of more pairs to be prepared in the future😀 ... show more

    • Rockport makes a quality shoe

I've been a Rockport fan for years as I've owned a few pairs of their shoes. They've lasted me years and fit/feel great. Wasn't keen on the recent high prices but...it's the current trend. Ordered a pair of these black "shoe boots" to wear when I ride the motorcycle to work. I wear khaki's so I wanted a durable motorcycle shoe, while also something moderately fashionable. These boots appear to be very well made. They have a soft sheen to them, meaning not too shiny but not too bare looking. Not sure how "waterproof" they are as I have not ridden through rain with them. They do have more of a rounded front/toe, which does hinder it's "business shoe" look. But they are still presentable with khaki's. I use Happy Feet inserts and these shoe boots feel great. Fit is a little loose but if you insert some kind of support in them they won't bunch your foot up. Overall, really like these shoe boots. They're on the pricey end but, when it comes to Rockport's, you get what you pay for. Worth the investment and would definitely recommend. ... show more

    • Nice simple style but questionable quality

I like simple things. I don't know why but it took me a long time to find simple looking boots that were not outrageously priced. I found these and thought I'd give them a shot. I like them overall but I think I'll spend the extra money for better quality next time. They're fairly comfortable. No complaints after a few months of daily use in a job where I walk around a lot. I like the simple looking style. The places broke after about a week but those are cheap and easy to replace with better ones. It looks like some gaps are starting to appear between the sole and the rest of the boot on both of them. I'm not sure how much longer they'll last but they made it through a Midwest winter so far while keeping my feet warm and dry. ... show more
