  • [GREAT Product! Excellent ABS Luggage Set for Below $150]
Size: 3-Piece Set (20/24/28) Color: Orange
[Pros] Durable, very lightweight, distinctive colors for airline travel, sized very well for airline travel* (smallest bag meets carry-on requirements, see below), ergonomic and versatile movement/storage. [Cons] (Minor) Very strong smell when opened! **Not heavy, thick, "rigid" plastic, if that's what you're looking for! It's hard to tell online, but this luggage set isn't that style. Before talking about the benefits of this set, just a warning: Don't open the packaging inside! These things smell like burnt tires when you cut the plastic open -- that said, this is a very minor issue. The smell is purely from the ABS plastic and only on the outside. Leave them on a covered patio for a day, give them a little wipe down with a soapy rag, and you're good. Now on to the good stuff! ~ Durability: These guys are tough! You can tell the quality just by pulling them out of the packaging. I've used them for two business trips so far, and we all know how luggage gets thrown around, and these still look good. -- That said, read what I said above: **These are indeed made of tough ABS plastic, but it is thin, flexible plastic. So the overall shape holds true for being thrown around (far better than cloth), but you can push it with your hand and it'll indent and pop back out. If something fragile is inside, it'd still need to be heavily padded. ~ Sizes: As noted above, the luggage sizes are great for air travel. *The smallest case fits under the Delta standard of 22" x 14" x 9" IF not overstuffed -- Verified with a tape measure it's well within the 22 and 14, but it's right at 9 on the depth so a stuffed bag might not make the squeeze. As for the other cases, the medium one is nice and... medium. And the large is nice and... large. Bluntly, most men should be able to adequately pack about 2 weeks of clothes in the medium, and ladies 2 weeks in the large. I don't know what the large one stuffed-to-the-gills would be like as far as weight requirements go with the airlines, I haven't needed to pack for that long of a trip. ~ Ergonomics: It can be seen easily in the picture, but to verify; There are telescoping handles on each piece. There is also a carry handle on the top and on one side, to be carried vertically or horizontally. When not in use, these can be pushed down flush with the case. There are 4 caster wheels on the bottom that roll in all directions, and they work well. Opposite of the side handle, there are rubber pieces so that the case can se set down horizontally as well. -- For storage, the small fits into the medium and the medium into the large (that's how it's shipped as well). ~ Internal: This aspect doesn't matter to me so much, because it's easy to use grocery bags to separate things. But for some it might: The top section has a flap with a zipper that goes all the way around, so that the top section can be completely separated from the bottom internally. There's also a pouch with a zipper attached to one of the horizontal sides. The internal material is standard thin, silk-like cloth os it's not a waterproof storage container. Pretty standard. ~ Aesthetics: If looks matter to you concerning luggage, this is a very handsome set. I just liked all of the color options, as I'm tired of looking for black luggage on a carousel. I got the orange set -- It's pumpkin orange plastic shell, flat black plastic trim, light gray patterned interior. [Conclusion] I am very pleased. There are probably better 3-Piece sets out there, but at holiday 2014 I got these for $133. That's the price of cheap luggage, but at a much higher quality. I'm not a heavy traveller, but for someone who travels occasionally with business these are great and I expect they'd even work well for a heavy traveller. ... show more

  • we saw them from a mile!
Size: 3-Piece Set (20/24/28) Color: Orange
yes, they are your basic luggage trio, but very well built, the color, wow! They're light and very easy to maneuver since the wheels spin like butter. We just used them to return home and we knew which bags were ours without a doubt (we bought the orange set, and it's so much prettier in person). Lovely set, lovely color, and the price was amazing for what we got! ... show more

  • Great luggage for the price
Size: 3-Piece Set (20/24/28) Color: Purple
I am very pleased with this set of luggage. This is the first time I have ever owned/ purchased hard shell case luggage. I was very pleased because I decided to get this set when I was about to go on a business trip. When I first got the luggage, it came packaged well, not like it really matters but I was just weary of busted up packaging horror stories you hear. It was well packed. When I pulled out all the luggage bags, it was all packed within each other. So all 3 bags can be stored within each other, which is a Great space saver. People seemed to complain that the luggage had a specific scent of plastic, and stated the luggage had to be left open to eliminate the odor by letting the bag breathe. The odor wasn't a bad thing, and it smelled more like new luggage. Our luggage set did not have an overpowering odor, and it was fine the way it came. When I had the chance to use the luggage for my trip, I was more than pleased with it. I held up nicely, and the actual shell was very sturdy. I have been used to having traditional soft shell luggage that gets really beat up and dirty. Ours was like every other case and story, after so many uses it lost pieces and wouldn't function correctly, which lead to wanting to try this new hard shell style baggage. This luggage came in purple, my particular set, because I wanted something I could easily identify from the luggage carousel when at the airport. The color was actually a very nice, pleasing color that made it very easy for me to identify. I was amazed on how well the luggage held up during the trip. I expected them to be all dinged up, scratched up, and possibly bent in, since this was the first time I ever owned hard shell luggage. It came off the carousel with no scratches, and the markings I thought were scratches, were just dust and dirt marks that I was able to wipe off. The luggage was textured, which I believe made it more durable and less prone for scratches. The luggage was able to carry everything that I needed, and for once no broken bottles of cream, or shampoo! It was nice that it can expand to let more items be placed in the bag when packed. It carries, holds, and has enough pockets to keep everything in it's place. The interior was very nice and has dividers to help everything stay in place as well. I would definitely recommend this to other people looking for hard shell luggage, for a really good price. I would definitely buy these again if I had too. They are well built, durability is really good on these bags. The only downside, which wasn't much, was the general complaint about the expanding handle having play when you try and push the bag in it's upright standing position, but it wasn't flimsy and held up nicely when pushing/ walking around with the luggage. The wheels can go over pretty much any surface. I rolled mine over asphalt, concrete, and carpet, and it rolled well with no problems or issues. That was my only issue... The handle, but a minor issue. I Really recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade and try hard shell luggage. Way worth the money! ... show more
