While the planks exhibit natural variations in width and depth, this characteristic contributes to their inherent rustic appeal. Perfect. My contractor was fumbling and getting a bit irritated. He was working with 110 year old walls and not perfect wood. I had to come in and say if the customer is thrilled, go with it. Didn't think I had enough but had so much extra, due to the expertise of my 20 year old ex Amish contractor. I couldn't be happier with this wood.

I love the look of this product and it is easy to put up. But there are a few things I found that gave me some problems. First not all boards are the same width. They do tell you this in the instructions but I found out the hard way. Also the boards are not always straight. I have gaps between some of the planks. So make sure the wall is painted a dark color before applying the boards otherwise you'll see the wall behind the boards. And like other reviews have said most of the boards are grey weathered not to many browns. I had to use a brush and lightly brush with different stains to give a brown or red color to some of the boards so the wall wouldn't look so grey. Otherwise it's a nice product.

We ordered this wood for the variety it showed in all the pictures. Instead we got ALL grey planks. No variety of colors at all. It was very disappointing considering we were looking for different wood tones, not just grey. We ended up turning over the planks and staining them the colors were were looking for, which worked ok since they were different wood species. But that should never had to have happened. Especially since we ordered SO much of it and it's not inexpensive.

Was looking for some easy, already milled barnwood for an accent wall. This fit the bill perfectly and was easy to work with. THIS IS RECLAIMED BARNWOOD. You can expect to see some knot holes, old nail holes, etc. That is the point! If you are looking for perfectly manicured wood with no imperfections, look elsewhere. I ordered their largest size on Amazon and got a great assortment of different colored boards, as you can see from the picture. For the most part they are all milled well and pretty square, but you still should use a level when putting them up. They were all planed to the same thickness with very minimal bowing. A few boards had a slight cup to them, which would be expected (and adds to the look). I hung mine with a brad nailer instead of construction adhesive, so it could be removed without tearing up the entire wall if a future owner does not want it. The boards all stay in place with no problems. Would 100% buy again if needed.

It is thin, not uniform and mostly grey as is natural, reclaimed barn wood. I've done an accent wall in one room and still have another room to do. I know others have said to paint the wall behind black/dark. I went a different route and nailed boards over any gaps to create a "patched" look. Don't mess with adhesive, use an electric or pneumatic finishing nail gun. Super easy to remove if you made a mistake or decide you didn't like that particular board there. Overall, very pleased with this product and would absolutely recommend it to anyone shooting for a rustic/barn feel. Updated 2/16/2026: I added a completed picture of the first accent, the second room accent wall, just did a third project with a recent order for an update in our bathroom. Still a great product. Understand it is natural wood, it is thin which is perfect to be used as a layer on a wall. There are knot hole in some pieces, again it is natural wood. The black paper on the back helps, or you can paint the wall a dark color, or look at my answer in a couple of the below photos. It's a barn wood look. Have fun with the rustic feel, don't expect perfect lumber.

Easy to install with a finish nailer, great color and texture variety in the boards, smooth on the back for consistent mounting, and relatively consistent board width for relatively easy matching in each row. Overall, we are SO happy with this product. If I had to find a complaint, it would just be that you can't order the exact amount you want... you have to piece it together based on the options they allow, and then they didn't ship all of the packs at the same time... got one pack and then had to wait a couple more days for the other two. For example, my wall is 8' x 16'... which is 128 square feet. Well, they offered a 104 sq ft pack, and a 23 sq ft pack, and a 10 sq ft pack. Because we didn't remove the baseboard, and we also allowed 1" of space from the bottom of the last row to the baseboard, we ultimately didn't need that last 10 sq ft pack, but I didn't know that we would end up doing that, plus, I needed to make sure I allowed room for broken or bad boards, so I ordered the 137 sq ft and now need to return the last 10 sq ft that we didn't need. Would have been easier to be able to order 130 sq ft or something more specific instead of piecing together existing offerings and then waiting for all three to arrive separately to start the project, but it all worked out in the end and we love the result.
