I went back to school recently and was shopping for notebooks and such. I want to try accumulate less waste so I tried this notebook. It is very cool, thin, and easy to fit in a tote bag I already own. I write mu content, scan it, send it where it lives (for organization), and erase it. The notebook comes with an erasable pen that leaves no mess nor mistakes. My favorite part about the pen is it can be purchased here on Amazon, at WalMart, and at office stores.     • Unlimited Book!
The Rocketbook is great and does exactly what it says. The pen works smooth and it's very easy to clear the text. Scanning is an absolute delight and I love the way the auto-destination works (sends your pages to Google Drive or something that you can select once you scan). Pros: 1. Unlimited Pages if you're okay with reading documents online 2. If you have decent handwriting, the transcriptions works great. (Mine is terrible and it still managed to do a good job) 3. The book is sturdy and feels great 4. The pen and the book are insanely smooth and feel a lot like writing on a whiteboard 5. Scanning is incredibly fast and accurate Cons: 1. The book has 32 pages, so depending on your work you might have to erase quite often 2. My pen ran out in like 50 pages which seems to be short compared to a regular pen 3. I would have liked having the option to select which pen comes with the book as there's a few different types and colors available Overall however, it's a great experience and wonderful to use. ... show more

    • Think about how you use notebooks now...
I came to Rocketbook after searching high and low for a cost effective (around $250) eInk solution for taking notes as I seemed to be burning through legal pads and snapping photos with my camera phone. It doesn't seem like the eInk world is there yet... but enter Rocketbook. It's special paper and a special pen that can get wiped away with water... not really that amazing. It's the durability and really the APP that makes the experience so satisfying. I've been using scanner apps for years and this is the first one I actually LIKE to use. It's got some smart, auto-upload features based on what symbol is checked on the paper. My FAVORITE part is that you can define a filename for the PDF by writing "##" before and after your desired filename, like this ##notes from today##. It would create "notes from today.pdf". And it's just reliable. For this price, just give it a shot. I use it for everything now. ... show more

If a Remarkable is too costly, this product will serve you well, but it's akin to using a washboard in place of a washing machine. It will work but so will paper.

Prior to purchasing, I did some research on the ROCKETBOOK, and nowhere did I see anything about needing a different type of paper needed in my printer just to Print. But apparently you do. Nowhere did I read that the pages that I "Scan" (through their App), would Print Out with All The Dots, [and] the Black Border around the scanned page. But it does! Actually, I was led to believe that the "Scanned Article" would actually be just like if written it, except in Paper Form. It is Not! On my very first scan, I opened up the PDF, and behold "The Infamous Yellow Line!" But would it Print that way? It Does! The App is in bed of some Serious overhaul, but hey it was 'Free!' My point is that I bought 2 of these. One for my Wife, and the other myself. From the very beginning, everything -and I mean Everything, was different from each other's. And for neither of us being very Tech Savvy, it was a little unnerving -we both were thinking that the Other had done something different. But here's the kicker: she had Tutorials that I didn't have. For example: Here's told her how to write it a Title. (Two hash tags Before, and Two hash tags After.) This was a disappointment, and I would Not recommend this. ... show more

Using a laser printer to create a custom rocket page does not work. It warps. I also tried flattening it out with iron at low to high setting, the pages are permanently warped. I put together my spiral back together with the warped pages. I could not accept it. It would drive me crazy using it at work. Apparently, I cannot draw a straight line with a ruler so I am going to rubber cement glue the warped pages to a fresh rocket book page and use that in spiral. **edit a over a month later. I am using the warped pages in a binder because glueing the pages together creates a mushy surface texture. I don’t like the way it feels when writing. ... show more
