Over the past year I have bought many variations of these Rock Stock pedal patch cables. The shorter 4 inch ones are perfect for many pedals in a row that have a similar jack set up (pedals with top in/out put or pedals with side to side in/out). It's makes the pedal board so clean and manageable. When you use these as an alternative to longer 1 ft or 3 ft cables you do not have messy cables all over getting tangled or in the way. These are gold plated too which is great for reducing unwanted noise in the signal. Using the shortest cables possible is always a great way to reduce noise especially when your setup has a lot of pedals. As my pedal collection grew and I wanted to leave many pedals hooked up so I could try a variety of combinations of sounds these Rock Stock cables were so convenient. If you are at the end of the row and need to go back to the right side of your board to continue you can get the 18" ones and the flat ribbon style cable is easy to hide or run along between rows of effects pedals. If there is a weird angle you can get a 6" or 12" version. They offer 'C' style cables with the jacks facing the same way or 'S' style with them facing opposite directions. These can solve any cable routing issue you come across. When the input/outputs are in different locations or the height of the pedals differ too much the gold coupler style adapters aren't really an option. These cables are a perfect way to preserve space since the jacks have flat ends on them. This makes it really easy to get a row of pedals really close together. I would highly recommend these both for the quality and the convenience of the design!

I know people can get caught up in wanting 100% oxygen free triple shielded gold-plated cables and want to Shell out $100 for a six pack of cables like this just to have a name stamped on it. I just bought another set of these because I have another set in my effects loop and as you can see from the picture I need a couple more for my what I call my "ghettoboard" it's a real wood board with power supply mounted on the underside giving it a slight incline...this is just my home setup and these cables bend and flex and twist and turn. I haven't had any problems and they are clean too! Makes your set up clean! Great buy and great product! I mess around at home between real cab real amp or PC sims and powered cabs with IR loaders. I am all over the place! These are nice for running pedals into headphones too, I have preamp pedals going into a multi FX mod into a headphone amplifier all daisy chained that I can snatch it up with the headphones and carry in one hand and go anywhere and sit down and play. so I'm just experimenting and these things are perfect for mini pedals and close proximity. I was tempted to go with the solid 1/4 to 1/4 connector but this is much nicer because you have some wiggle room and some room to shift and move things around but yet the cables still form a nice u-shape or a straight line

This cable is excellent. The cable seems to be sturdy, and of good quality. The cable being so flat makes it very easy to fit between narrowly spaced pedals, it's fantastic. The only thing I wish was that there were additional lengths of these cables and different jack configurations to fit different pedals the their jack positions.
