Description

Sure-Grip ROCK GT-50 Roller Skate The GT-50 skate package is a perfect beginner skate for children to adults. Fully functioning roller skate. Features a synthetic leather boot, ROCK plate, GT-50 swirl wheels, ABEC -5 bearings, and a Carrera speed toe stop. Ideal for Recreation skating and beginner roller derby. Some larger skates (size 14 and 15) will come with an aluminum Super X plate. Designed on mens sizing so women should size down one size. The ROCK skate is a little widder than most other skates that we make but no other skate matches this level of comfort. Sotck indoor wheels offer plenty of grip but still the roll you want. If you are looking for some performance you might want to upgrade the wheels and bearings. Non marking indoor black toe stop is adjustable using an open ended wrench that can be purchased from your local roller skating center. Very easy to do at home by yourself or have the local skate technition help you. Front view Split vinyl toe box with adjustable strap near the top of the boot. A straight cut toe stop will offer more useability when skating. Black non marking rubber toe stop will help you stop on a dime but can also be uses to help start. Back view Back vinyl reinforced cover for more protection. Rolled collar for added comfort and boot loop designed to help put skates on. Plate mounted toward back of boot for added stability, wheels are placed slightly behind the ball of the foot. Sure-Grip metal trucks for more strength. Solid steel hardware with urethane cushions. indoor wheels made using only the best material for increased speed. Boot laces all the way to top with secure strap that reaches all the way to the heel for more support. Cushion tongue with comfort padded linging.

I have always loved quad skating, but desperately needed a new pair of skates. I started my search with a stereotypical high boot, which was an absolute delight (/s) since it seems as though everyone discovered roller skating during the pandemic. I eventually found a pair of Chaya Melrose skates through a different vendor. I immediately discovered several problems with those skates. Although the wheels are described as being for outdoor use, they actually say "Indoor" on the wheel and there is no way they are actually 78A. Even after swapping out the wheels with actual outdoor wheels, the bigger problem turned out to be the fixed (bolt-on) stopper. It's placed so far up that it's impossible to use it without contorting your leg and there is no way to adjust it. I decided I needed a different pair of skates, but wasn't going to invest in another pair unless it came with an adjustable stopper. Weirdly, it's hard to find a dedicated outdoor skates without a fixed stopper. There are the Moxi Lollis, but they are not only impossible to find right now (literally), they have a notoriously slim boot. I have wide feet (D) and I really didn't fancy the idea of having to break in skate boots. On a lark, I decided to try a roller derby skate with a low boot since I already have my own outdoor wheels. I decided to go with these Sure-Grips since they are highly rated for beginners. Right out of the box, I was really excited about the fit. I swapped the out the indoor wheels and stoppers for Sure-Grip Boardwalk wheels and Jupiter toe stops and took them for a spin. I loved how the lower boot felt as I skated on my bumpy street! I couldn't have been happier with having taken a chance on a different type of boot. Sadly, I only got the test them out a couple of times over the course of 24 hours before the boot came apart. As you can see in the pictures, the interior of the back of the boot pulled away from the exterior. Considering they were brand-new, it was unacceptable, so I returned them. Love my skates after 20 years of being off the skates rinks floors i decided to get back in a pair of skates yes I am out of my element but working my way back and a good pair of skates is a help these are them love love love them they fit well I wear a 8.5 in women and they fit like a glove

Grew up roller skating something to do in North Denver growing up besides riding bikes. Took up skating again and I'm totally enthralled, these skates are awesome they fit perfect right out of the box get a tool to adjust the wheels for agility other than that Boom💥💥💥 love them.

Comfortable right out of the box. Nice soft shoe makes for a comfortable first ride. These are sure-grip wheels, so there is not a lot of sliding. If you’re not used to it, there will be an adjustment period. I really like them… good product for the money.

These babies are rockin'. Mad horse power in these skates of the future. Just skate up to the ladies and say "hey baby let me buy you a soft pretzel, you want cheese too, ain't no thing" it'll be a sure thing. The GT 50s were one of the best purchases of my life. Thinking about clothes pinning some baseball cards to them to make it sound like a motorcycle. Your tank will never be empty skate or die ... show more

These derby quad skates have decent value for the price. Wheels are a bit too grippy for my recreational indoor rinking. Not bad though. I would’ve given 5 stars if the right boot lace hadn’t broke on my first time out. Left me in an awkward predicament. (Plan on ordering some backups with your skate order) ... show more

Used to speed skate but right out of the box these were way more comfortable than my old ones. Took family for 2 hours of lesion skating and pleasure and I was the only one without blisters. Like the convenience of the adjustments Available but didn’t need to straight out of the box.
